Join a strong, trailblazing brand in a £50bn sector, led by a management team who share a solid background in building care businesses.
Founded in 2011 by two care professionals, GoodOaks provides high quality visiting and live-in care to people in their own homes.
A well-resourced operation, committed to quality, innovation and working in partnership with our franchise partners. We enable our partners to start a profitable, sustainable and quality care business.
Why GoodOaks, Why Homecare?
Our business delivers quality care that enables people to be independent, safe and happy in their own homes. Unlike many franchises, because we directly run our own thriving GoodOaks office, we can innovate, test and implement improvements before rolling them out across our network.
This means less distractions and disruption for our franchise partners, so they can concentrate on growing and developing their business.
There is no Venture Capital here, we’re in it for the long haul. We are UK-owned and independent, without the overheads of a multinational corporation, meaning our franchise partners retain a greater portion of their hard earned cash.
The homecare market is constantly growing and is estimated to be worth over £8 billion per year. There’s never been a better time to start a homecare franchise, and we’ll support you every step of the way.
The more work you put in, the more profitable your business will be. Our model is based on a gross margin of 40%, and a net profitability of 15% once established. (Some franchise partners achieve much higher than this!)
The GoodOaks Way:
PEOPLE: We are our people. Our people share our values and form our culture. Our values are; Professionalism, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Empathy. These are recognised in every person within the franchise network; from our Franchisors to the people walking through our client’s front doors every day. We recruit and reward our people based on their match with our PRIDE Values.
PARTNERSHIP: We believe in the power of partnership. From how we collaborate with our franchise partners, to how our care coordinators work with clients and their families, our partnership-led care approach empowers caring people to provide exceptional care.
PLANET: The homecare sector doesn’t like talking about its’ climate impact. Combining our data and national analysis, the homecare sector emits 484,000 of tonnes of CO2 every year.
We are the only Carbon Neutral homecare provider in the UK and year on year, we strive to be better.

When Babita Lochab (Bee), Franchise Partner at GoodOaks Homecare South Warwickshire, left behind a career in finance, she wasn’t simply looking for a career change, she was searching for something with purpose.
“I’ve been in finance pretty much all my working life,” Bee explains. “Banking and corporate roles were my world. Care was never something I had considered.”
Like many aspiring business owners, Bee and her husband had already been exploring ways to build something of their own. But it was a personal experience that ultimately shaped their future.
“When my father-in-law became unwell, we saw the full spectrum of care. Some carers made a real difference, while others were simply there to do a job. That contrast really stayed with me.”
That experience sparked a desire to build a business that genuinely made a difference while also giving Bee the independence and flexibility that franchising can offer.
Why GoodOaks Homecare?
For Bee, franchising provided a supported route into business ownership, particularly when entering a completely new sector.
“We looked at a few care franchises and they just didn’t feel right. They were very sales driven and focused on money. It didn’t feel like people were at the heart of it.”
Her experience with GoodOaks Homecare stood out immediately.
“From the very first conversation, it was personable. They genuinely cared about who they were bringing into the business, not just the financial side.”
Launching a business in a new industry could have felt overwhelming, but Bee says the GoodOaks training and support network gave her confidence from the beginning.
“The onboarding was seamless. The training was intense, but in a good way. It never felt overwhelming and it gave me the confidence to get started.”
She also highlights the ongoing support from the wider franchise network and National Office team.
“Everyone is approachable. Whether it’s the National Office team or the Founders, you can always pick up the phone. You never feel like you’re on your own.”
Building a purpose-led business
Now running her South Warwickshire franchise, Bee is focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred homecare while building a compassionate and driven team around her.
“It’s not about growing quickly. For me, it’s about quality. That’s what will set us apart.”
Bee credits much of the business’s early success to the people around her, particularly Registered Manager Annette Dixon.
“Hiring Annette was the best decision I’ve made. She’s been incredible, and having the right people around you makes all the difference.”
One client interaction in particular reinforced why she chose this path.
“We had a client who was very anxious and had spoken to several care companies. She chose us because we took the time to listen and made her feel at ease. That meant everything.”
Women in franchising
Bee’s story reflects a growing number of women exploring franchising as a route into business ownership.
“I had just had my third child and was coming out of maternity leave. I needed something that gave me purpose while still being there for my family.”
Her advice to other women considering franchising is simple:
“Don’t be afraid to take that leap. You’re part of something bigger, you’ve got the support, the tools and the model. You can do it.”
For Bee, success goes beyond business growth.
“If I can help more people remain at home, comfortable and surrounded by the people they love, then I’ve done what I set out to do.”
