Do you have what it takes to work in the heart of your local community and help change local care provision for the better? Then this franchise is for you! Hub Care Support is seeking community-spirited pioneers to become part of its network of business owners, and help transform the way people access the kind of care which can really make a difference.

Hub Care Support is not like any other kind of care franchise

For an initial total investment of around £35,000, including VAT, you can be a part of something which is utterly unique.

Hub Care Support is NOT a care agency. Service users aren’t our customers, carers are.

Hub Care Support is NOT a care home business. You won’t need any expensive premises, just a home office.

Hub Care Support is NOT a management franchise where you need a huge team of people from the start. You’ll be working directly with your local community.

Hub Care Support IS a revolutionary new care support model that can empower you to run a business that is both ethical and rewarding.

How can you transform the industry as part of the Hub Care Support franchise?

Hub Care Support does not employ carers. Instead, we provide a service to independent carers known as Personal Assistants (PAs). We help them to not only earn the hourly rate they deserve and have control over their working life, but also to give them the support they need to deliver the care they know their service users need.

Instead of drawing from a bank of care staff which is always changing, Hub Care Support carefully listens to, and understands the needs of service users, and provides them with a range of suitable profiles of PAs from The Hub community to choose from. It is the PAs themselves who can then provide a wide range of services tailored to suit the individual needs of their clients, from personal and domestic care, and help in getting to appointments, through to social support and companionship.

Most importantly, however, service users always see the same person, giving them greater stability, consistency and trust in the care they receive, and allowing them to build meaningful relationships with their PAs. The kind of personal contact that has been shown time and again to be essential to both physical and mental health.

Thanks to our unique model, Hub Care Support does not suffer from the same high staff turnover or recruitment problems that other care businesses do. Carers want to work with us and become independent PAs!

The care sector in the UK is in crisis, and is failing those most in need, but it doesn’t have to be that way. With your help and support, your PAs can help change it for the better.

Business Mind – Community Heart

As a business model which is turning the way people think about care on its head, we are looking for partners who can embrace the same ethos and mission as we do. Hub Care Support needs dedicated and pioneering people who are deeply passionate about helping PAs provide quality care while also building their own independent and rewarding future.

We greatly welcome anyone who has a background in care, or in a related industry, but this franchise opportunity is all about supporting and empowering others to provide care, so you do not need experience in the industry to succeed with our business model.

However, we are looking only for partners who:

  • Are genuinely interested in the welfare of their local community
  • Are willing to go out into their local communities to promote their service
  • Are confident in meeting people face-to-face and forging key relationships
  • Understand how efficient systems can help them deliver a better service
  • Have good organisational skills and are willing to learn and follow our model
  • Have the ambition and dedication necessary to build their own successful business
  • Are caring, compassionate and want to make a real difference

Why choose Hub Care Support?

Hub Care Support provides:
  • Full training on every aspect of your new business
  • Ongoing support every step of the way
  • Excellent staff retention
  • Run your business from anywhere and enjoy a more flexible work-life balance

The Investment

This home-based business has a lower investment than any premises-based opportunities with the total initial investment just over £35,000*, including VAT, the franchise fee, the home office set up and your working capital (*which will vary subject to individual circumstances and business plan).

You may only need £20,000 in liquid capital to secure a Hub Care Support. As the reputation of Hub Care Support grows, we’re getting used to word of what we and our franchisees can do spreading far and wide across the UK with enquiries springing up all around the country. Never in our wildest dreams would we have expected news of our service to reach as far as Uzbekistan! However, that’s exactly where we received our latest new recruit from as she stepped fresh off the plane and into the Hub Care Support training room in August 2023.

While Rosie is from the UK originally, her travels have taken her all over Asia and the Far East working as a school teacher and education development officer for both private and public bodies, with her most recently settling in exotic Samarkand with her husband. With problems with her husband’s health coinciding with her elderly mother needing more care in the UK, Rosie decided it was time to move back to the UK. She wanted to make sure she was creating a solid financial base for herself in her life, but was also determined to work for herself and move away from her previous teaching role.

“I’ve worked for other people my whole life, so being my own boss was the single biggest factor in my new search, and franchising seemed a great way to do this. “Rosie told us. “However, I was looking at education franchises in the UK and realised it just wasn’t for me. After working abroad, I found working in education here just wasn’t going to be right for me, so decided to branch out into other industries.”

Rosie has an interesting take one big reason why she has now shifted her career away from teaching to care: “Actually, it was inspired by my son’s geography homework! We were looking at age demographics for the UK, and I was amazed to see that the population doesn’t look like a triangle with lots of children at the bottom, but an upside triangle with a huge, growing number of older people with care needs. I started to think: ‘Why am I chasing a small demographic at the bottom end, when I could work for that bigger end of the triangle with all the demand?’”

However, in a story which will be very familiar to many of you now, Rosie’s decision to contribute something to the industry also stems from her own brush with the UK care system when finding appropriate care for her father.

“If you speak to my mother about her experiences during that time, she has absolutely nothing good to say about it. Carers would never arrive at a reliable time, and it was rarely the same person. She could never be sure whoever showed up would actually understand anything about her husband’s needs. That’s just not what any of us want for the people we love and care about.

“It wasn’t the carers’ fault – they were doing their best – but it was clear that the system was very strained. If only we had had this option to have a dedicated PA come in to look after my father every week, like you can with Hub Care Support, it would have been a game changer for the whole family.”

Rosie is very eloquent and emotive about her experiences, and her reasons for joining Hub Care Support. It is clear that care and compassion for others has been at least as important to her decision as running a successful business which meets an urgent need – the perfect combination in many ways!

“As an educator, I was very passionate about caring for the next generation. With Hub Care Support’s business model, I can care equally as passionately about caring for the oldest generation. The whole concept of giving everyone involved in the care process choice and control, this entire concept of how to deliver care, is going to have a really beneficial impact on quality of life for so many people. That’s why, when I read about Hub Care Support, I stopped browsing. It stopped me in my tracks.

I went away and thought about it for a few days. The elements of choice and control, and the dignity this model affords absolutely everybody involved in the process – carers, service users, family members – that’s what hooked me. If you need care, you should have choice, control and dignity over how you get that care. The happier you are, the better your quality of life, and the longer will be able to maintain the quality of life you deserve. The Hub Care Support franchise is an absolute win-win for everyone.”

Wonderful words, Rosie! We’re very happy to have someone like you as part of our team.
