Why did you choose us over other models?
Whilst it’s certainly true that the commercial elements stacked up far more favourably than many options, a huge part of our decision to choose Stowhill Estates was down to our belief in the strength of the brand, the market proposition, and our confidence in being able to leverage that in a net-new geography to quickly grow and scale our own franchise.
What kind of support and help did you get to set up and running?
Regular training and industry-specific coaching was a big part of our onboarding, both remotely and in person. In addition, strategy and business coaching was also provided which was a bonus. Practical considerations such as IT systems, tools and products were also discussed and, in the case of some software packages, implemented for us.
What kind of ongoing support and training do you get?
We have great ad-hoc support mechanisms for those urgent queries such as WhatsApp groups or instant messaging. We also have regular, scheduled Q&A sessions to go over specific queries. In addition, we meet quarterly as a full business for planning sessions as well as other regular occasions for specific purposes/group training. Oh, and we can always arrange a lunch meeting to catch up!
What’s the best thing about being an SE business owner?
Autonomy was a huge part of our reasons for starting our own business. Whilst Stowhill Estates do provide regular support and advice, ultimately this is our business to operate, and we are treated as independent business owners. Provided our decisions are in the best interest of the brand and the business, they are always ours to make. That aside, it’s incredibly important to have fun and like who you work with – the wider Stowhill Estates team are a wonderful group of people and fun to be around. We laugh as much as we are serious and have a great balance of getting things done whilst enjoying our time together.
