Celebrating successes across the franchise network

Right At Home Image

Right at Home has celebrated a year of outstanding achievements from across our network at our Annual Celebration Awards.

The prestigious award ceremony was held on the second day of our Annual Conference, at St George’s Park on Thursday 29 September. The awards shine a light on the tremendous achievements of local offices over the last year. Across 12 award categories, Franchisees, CareGivers, and Registered Managers were recognised for their commitment to their Clients and for going the extra mile to make a difference in their local communities.

This year, the judges faced some challenging decisions as the competition appeared tougher than ever, with such a high standard of nominations, but we are delighted to share 2022’s winners:

Overall Business of The Year: Right at Home North Cheshire

This award is given to a business that is exceptional in all aspects, from management to performance, and customer service to living the Right at Home brand values. The winner must demonstrate a proactive commitment to positively addressing challenges within the social care sector.

Over the last year, Right at Home North Cheshire, owned by Julie Houston, has achieved incredible results across its business, including maintaining a perfect 10/10 score on homecare.co.uk, exceptional staff satisfaction scores and an increase in territory, providing more local people with high-quality care.

Upon accepting the award Julie said: “The last year has been one of the most challenging yet, both professionally and personally. To be named Right at Home’s Overall Business of the Year makes all the hard work worth it. This wouldn’t be possible without our amazing office team and CareGivers who always go above and beyond for our lovely Clients. I’m extremely proud of everything we’ve achieved this year, despite the challenges, and I can’t wait to get stuck into our upcoming projects.”

CareGiver of the Year: Jordan Lewis, Right at Home Borehamwood & Watford

One of the most highly anticipated awards of the night, CareGiver of the Year, recognises the network’s fantastic CareGivers who have excelled in service delivery and are a shining example of the Right at Home values. Earlier this year, Jordan won Right at Home’s first ever regional heats to become London’s first Regional CareGiver of the Year, before being chosen as the overall national winner by judges.

Jordan began his career in care in 2020 after he was out of work as a scaffolder. He has truly embraced the profession and always puts his colleagues and Clients first. Jordan goes above and beyond his duty, treats every single Client like a family member and empathises with them and their loved ones.

Jenny Madghachian, the owner of Right at Home Borehamwood & Watford said: “No one deserves this award more than Jordan. He is available 24/7 for our carers and Clients. He is a natural CareGiver; gentle, caring, confident, and a great problem solver - always thinking outside the box to make everything work. We are so pleased his efforts have been recognised.”

The awards ceremony also highlights our network’s biggest achievers in sales, revenue and business growth.

This year our exclusive Premier Circle, which hosts the offices with the biggest revenue and sales, welcomed two new members: David Meanwell, Right at Home Stockport, and Grant Attwood, Right at Home North Somerset.

Both the Single and Multi Territory Awards were given to Alistair Shanks, from Right at Home Guildford and Farnham, to highlight an incredible year of business growth.

Other Celebration Awards received this year were:

Right at Home’s judging panel of industry experts comprised Pip Wilkins, CEO of the British Franchise Association; Gillian Morris, Head of Franchising at HSBC; Suzie McCafferty, Managing Director of Platinum Wave & Right at Home Non-Executive Director; and Lucy Campbell, Right at Home UK Chief Operating Officer.

Speaking after the ceremony, Right at Home CEO Lucy Campbell said: “Our Celebration Awards are always a highlight in my calendar, and this year was no exception. It was great to celebrate so many achievements from our network at such a fantastic awards ceremony. The last year has been a challenging one for the social care sector. But, hearing the stories of how our Franchisees and CareGivers have overcome these barriers and gone on to achieve exceptional results was amazing.”
