Canine Creche Sponsors Bubble Rush Events for St. Elizabeth Hospice
Canine Creche Group, a kennelling and dog care franchise, will be sponsoring two St. Elizabeth Hospice Bubble Rush events, one held in Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds on the 29th of July and the other held in Christchurch Park, Ipswich on the 26th of August. The annual family fun events aim to raise money for the hospice, which provides expert care and support for people living with progressive and terminal illnesses and their families. Attendees can take part in the 5K bubble run that has five bubble stations blasting bubbles. Canine Creche will sponsor a bubble station at each event, a featured trade stand in the shopping area, and a team of six from the franchise will also be joining in the festivities. Attendees can visit the Canine Creche trade stand to learn more about the franchise’s offerings, including overnight doggy hotel stays, dog grooming, training courses, and in-home pet care.
Sweaty Mama Raises Money for the Fight Against Cancer
Members of Sweaty Mama, a fitness franchise that offers mum and baby exercise classes, took part in a 5K mud run to raise money for cancer research. Fifteen mums from the local Flintshire Sweaty Mama franchise joined the Alyn Waters Country Park Pretty Muddy 5K to raise money for Cancer Research UK. During the Pretty Muddy event, the mums took on giant inflatable obstacles, crawledunder nets, and got very muddy all the while! The Sweaty Mama group raised over £3,000, with the M&S bank adding another £1,000 to their total. The money raised during Pretty Muddy events will contribute to Cancer Research UK’s ground-breaking research in diagnosing, preventing, and treating all kinds of cancer.
Ableworld Raises Awareness for Dementia Week by Increasing Product Range
Ableworld, retailer in mobility and home care, participated in Dementia Action Week from the 21st to the 27th of May. The annual event was started by the Alzheimer’s Society and aims to create awareness of the degenerative disease and to inspire action in local communities surrounding dementia causes. The retail franchise introduced initiatives to make dementia-friendly products more easily available to customers, including displaying the products in newspaper adverts, sharing videos and stories of those who have experienced the effects of dementia, and holding information sessions for its employees. The awareness campaign is the franchise’s efforts to increase customer knowledge of dementia-friendly products that are available in stores and online. Some of the franchise’s employees have even become dementia champions who will be able to run their own additional information sessions for other staff members about how to assist customers with dementia.
