Autumn is in the air this week and franchises are gearing up for the shift in seasons by introducing new autumn treats and goodies that will have you welcoming cooler weather (if you weren’t already after that heat wave). Pumpkin Spice, the favourite American flavour, makes an appearance, but it’s not the only flavour that will have you cozying up in the brisk autumn air. Find out what you can expect in stores this fall in this week’s Friday Franchising News:

Costa Coffee Launches Smokin’ New Autumn Menu

Costa Coffee has launched an exciting new autumn menu for September featuring delicious seasonal drinks and tasty treats. The all new Costa Coffee 'Bonfire Spiced Range' of drinks includes the Bonfire Spiced Latte, combining toffee and spices with steamed milk and espresso; the Bonfire Spiced hot Chocolate, mixing seasonal flavours and hot chocolate; and the Bonefire Spiced Cold Brew, which is an autumn take on the single origin Colombian Cold Brew blended with the Bonfire syrup and spices. The coffee franchise is also introducing indulgent treats perfect for the season, including the Seriously Chocolate Cake, the Vegan Sticky Toffee & Pecan Cookie, and the Jumble Berry Loaf Cake.

Starbucks Brings the Pumpkin Spice Latte to the UK

The popular Pumpkin Spice Latte is coming to Europe, and this time it has a vegan twist. Starbucks, which has 800 franchise and company-owned locations in the UK, is debuting the vegan Pumpkin Spiced Latte in select regions across Europe, including the United Kingdom, Netherlands, franchise, Switzerland, and Austria. The coffee shop’s pumpkin sauce with a spice-flavoured base used to make the drink has been re-formulated, without dairy, to make the drink completely vegan.

Greggs Releases Its Own Pumpkin Spice Latte

Hoping to rival Starbucks, Greggs has released its own Pumpkin Spice Latte. Though Greggs’ Pumpkin Spice Latte won’t be vegan, the bakery franchise is offering their drink at a lower price – starting at £2.20, nearly a pound cheaper than its rival’s. Guests can even get the opportunity to try the drink for free by registering on the Greggs reward app. Antother difference is that the Greggs Pumpkin Spice Latte will have a significantly lower calorie count at 240 calories. Greggs is releasing its Pumpkin Spice Latte on the same day that Starbucks rolls out its drink in Europe, so only time will tell which franchise has the preferred recipe.

The Body Shop Puts Vanilla Pumpkin Hand cream on the Shelves

Food franchises aren’t the only ones ready for autumn. The Body Shop is getting in the spirit of the season as well with its Vanilla Pumpkin hand cream. The beauty retail franchise is hoping to indulge customers with the deliciously scented special edition hand cream that absorbs quickly to soften and protect the hands as the weather starts to turn cold. This light, non-greasy hand cream is scented with autumnal flavours such as the quintessential pumpkin fragrance, vanilla from Madagascar, tonka bean, hazelnut and maple syrup.
