Eliott Betts and Lili Huang have had a very successful first year as TaxAssist Accountants franchise owners. Their office, located on 70 Northgate Street, Bury St Edmunds, continues to see demand for their services grow thanks in part to their high visibility location and convenient access for small business owners in the area looking for tax and accounting assistance. The pair also credits their franchise’s opening event, which gave them an opportunity to meet local businesses and share their services. Eliott and Lili celebrated their year of success on Thursday 14th June with a party for the local business community.
Franchisee Celebrates 20 Years With OSCAR Pet Foods
Steve Pointon opened his OSCAR Pet Foods franchise 20 years ago and the business is still going strong today. When Steve first considered self-employment, he looked into fast food, but ultimately found his niche in pet food. He recognised the ability of OSCAR to fill a gap in the market with a product and service they believed in. The franchise helped Steve and his family build a community that they could take comfort in when the family experienced personal troubles. Steve enjoys working on his business as a way to maintain his own personal well-being and as a way to connect with new customers who have their own stories to tell.
Richmond Caremark Franchisee Celebrates 1st Anniversary
Caremark (Richmond-upon-Thames), owned by Swati Bagwe and Shipra Mehta, celebrated their first year anniversary with a special party of clients and staff. The event was held in Saint Mar’s Church in Teddington and invited guests to dine on an extravagant buffet and birthday cake. One of the home care franchise’s clients wrote and performed a rap in honour of the occasion, and the pair of franchisees were presented with a bouquet of flowers by the franchise’s managing director, Anne O’Rourke. Other members of the Caremark head office were in attendance as well to help celebrate Swti and Shipra’s first franchise birthday.
UK-Based Preschool Franchise in Myanmar Celebrates 1 Year Anniversary and Plans to Expand Further
The UK-based Pingu’s English School franchise in Yangon, Myanmar celebrated its first anniversary and has plans to further expand the brand to downtown Yangon and Mandalay. EduWorld Co. Ltd. opened its franchise location in Bahan township, Yangon in 2017. EduWorld recognised the growing demand for high-quality English language programmes for children in Myanmar and knew the Pingu’s English School franchise model had the potential to bring this into the country. The school has recruited about 120 students in its first year of business and provides kindergarten curriculum for kids between the ages of two and six, English language training for kids between the ages of one and 10, and summer programmes. EduWorld is working closely with the UK’s Department for International Trade (DIT) in Myanmar on their ‘Education is GREAT’ campaign and on promoting the Pingu brand throughout the city.
