The need for garden maintenance and landscaping businesses has grown in recent years, as the public sector increasingly outsources these services. People in the UK have long been proud of their lush green lawns and parks; however, as people work harder and become more strapped for time, garden maintenance is often also outsourced by householders. Due to this, a gardening and landscape franchise lends itself particularly well to scalable business, allowing you to grow at your own pace and tap into a lucrative market.
Daniel Moquet offers an innovative concept, in a booming sector and a promising market. Daniel Moquet specialises in the design and installation of driveways, patios and terraces for homeowners. With more than 230 companies in France, Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom, "Daniel Moquet" is the leader in its industry.

In this week's Franchisor Q&A series, we take a look at what makes Daniel Moquet stand out in the European market and what their plans are for the future.
Q1. What makes your franchise standout?
With more than 230 franchisees in Europe, we are the European leader in the landscaping industry.
Q2. Why is it worth investing in your brand?
Your branch will be profitable from the first year thanks to the support and assistance of the DM Academy.
Q3. How is your franchise adapting to the current COVID-19 crisis?
Thanks to our outdoor activity, our franchisees have not been too affected by the current situation. Outdoor work was able to continue in most situations. In order to keep our customers active, we have adapted our sales protocols to qualify leads over the phone.
Q4. What extra support and assistance are you offering your franchisees during this time?
On the franchisor side we are organising online discovery days for prospects. For our franchisees we have adapted our training program to go online. We have also organised weekly conferences with our franchises to review their personal and professional situation.
Q5. What plans do you have for the franchise over the next few years?
By 2025, we want to expand our network to 50 franchisees. Equally, we want to recruit local master franchisees to add to our growing network.
Q6. What skills are important for your franchisees to have?
For us, ‘the know-how to be’ is just as important as ‘the know-how’. We will teach the ‘know-how’ to the candidates of the DM Academy. The future franchisees must like people because they will have to do B2C sales. They must like to breathe in the fresh air because they will have to work outside. they must be friendly!
