Prospective franchisees are often unsure of the important questions to ask a franchisor. There is a lot to consider and the types of questions that need to be asked vary from sector to sector.
In this new series, Franchisor Q&A, we sit down with top franchisors to find out the answers to some frequently asked questions. In this week's edition, Auditel tell us what helps them to stay ahead of the competitive business consulting sector.
Auditel
Auditel's network of consultants work with senior decision-makers in organisations to help them explore their business strategy. Their role is to help businesses increase efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
What makes Auditel unique to other business management franchises in the UK?
Our defining trait is the quality of our consultants. They have decades of experience in a huge range of industries, as well as a deep knowledge and understanding of all indirect and operational costs. They often come together to build working teams too, which maximises our potential to provide new insights and perspectives. Once a team is in place, we work alongside our clients to see projects through; we don’t just make a recommendation and move on.
We provide an extremely high level of training and support to our franchisees, and are constantly developing and innovating – we have won awards in this area for three years in a row. This support for our network allows them to remain competitive and valuable to our clients.
What trends are you noticing in your sector and how have you changed your business to meet those trends?
Because we operate across all business sectors, we have seen many disrupters over the past two decades. The current trends are linked to future technology – digital transformation, big data, artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
We are also seeing ethical business becoming mainstream, for example through socially responsible investing (SRI), particularly in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) companies. Developing businesses with a conscience is no longer seen as a cost, but as a profit-generator.
By tracking trends, we can actively help our clients to embrace the opportunities that these new trends offer.

Do you think Brexit is going to have an impact on your business?
Whenever there is change, businesses face both opportunities and threats, depending on the sector in which they operate. For the organisations we work with, one of the biggest impacts Brexit may have is on supply chains.
Larger organisations are exploring several scenarios and putting solutions in place to protect their businesses. Smaller companies may not have the resources to ensure that they are as advanced in their thinking but, because of the breadth of our talent pool, we can advise companies of all sizes on how to build a strategy.
Because of our strong relationships with suppliers, we can help our clients with outsourcing and not just the tendering and shortlisting processes. We also offer long-term support, which will carry them through the period of uncertainty.
Why do you feel that people should partner with you?
Next year we will be 25 years old, we are a tried and tested business and have survived and thrived through a number of boom times and recessions. We thrive on innovation and embrace new carefully-tested technologies and business solutions. This means that our network of specialists are earning more than ever before, whilst continuing to be trusted advisors to their clients, some of whom have used our services for over 20 years.
Because our consultants have different areas of expertise, they can build project teams to look at many different areas for clients. This allows our franchisees to build the businesses they want and run them in a way that suits their individual needs.
Together with the bespoke products and services that Auditel has developed, our experience and flexibility allows us to work with clients to increase their efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
Our best years are still ahead of us.
