This year’s campaign holds special meaning for the group, following the diagnosis of one of their much-loved colleagues, Amy, with breast cancer earlier this year. Inspired by her strength, positivity and resilience, the B2C team and networks have rallied together to support her and the cause.
Pink, Positive and Making a Difference
Across the Franchise Brands head office and nationwide franchise networks, colleagues showed their support in full colour - donning specially branded pink t-shirts generously printed free of charge by our uniform provider ‘Your Name On It’, hosting bake sales, and coming together in solidarity - to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s leading breast cancer charity dedicated to life-changing research and support.
100 Miles in October: Stepping Up for a Cause That Hits Close to Home
In addition to joining the ‘Wear it Pink’ day, many colleagues from across the ChipsAway, Ovenclean and Barking Mad brands have been taking part in Breast Cancer Now’s ‘100 Miles in October’ challenge, including Amy herself! Collectively walking, running and cycling hundreds of miles to raise additional funds and awareness.
“Amy’s courage has inspired us all,” said Rebecca de Chair, Group Marketing Manager – B2C Division. “Taking part in both ‘Wear it Pink’ and the ‘100 Miles in October’ challenge has given everyone a chance to come together - to do something active, positive and meaningful to support her and this incredible charity.”
Franchise Brands would like to thank everyone who donated, participated and cheered the team on - helping to make a difference in honour of Amy and others facing breast cancer.
