Our 2016 survey provides powerful insights into who franchisees are and what they really care about. Every question has been specially devised to measure the factors that drive franchisee engagement, discover who they are and what they really want.
Here at Franchise Direct, we are always striving to improve the services that we provide to franchisors and franchisees. An important part of this is to research who prospective franchisees are and learn what they’re looking for when it comes to buying a franchise. Every year we carry out an extensive survey to collect this data. We gain up-to-the-minute information on the topics of most importance and interest to aspiring franchisees, such as the types of franchises that attract them, what motivates them to enter the franchising market, as well as providing an overview of their demographics.
Some of the topics covered in this year’s survey include satisfaction, level of work and business experience, types of financing and assets pledged, relationship with franchisor, and economic success. We contacted every newsletter subscriber from our UK site as our sample. The collection period for the survey was January 2016 and we gathered a total of 364 responses.
This response was overwhelming, with all information being gathered anonymously and providing us with accurate insights into how our website users can be connected with the franchise that suits them the best. The results are based on 17 questions, split into five sections: Franchisee Demographics, Researching, Financing, Support, and Franchise Types.
