Estate agency board company and Franchise Direct clients Agency Express claimed the Franchisor of the Year Gold Award at the bfa Franchisor of the Year Awards in Birmingham.
It's a terrific coup for the flourishing franchise, which followed in the footsteps of the likes of Domino's Pizza and McDonald's in capturing the prestigious honour in front of over 360 guests at the ICC.
Judges were impressed particularly by Agency Express's use of technology to encourage growth and the strong support system they provide to franchisees.
Established in 1998, it currently works for over 40% of estate agency offices in the UK and completes over 90,000 visits to properties every month.
Driver Hire picked up the Silver Award, catching they eye once again of the BFA judges. They took Bronze in 2012 and Gold back in 2006.
Supplying temporary drivers for hire to customers that have a fleet of vehicles, Driver Hire's flexible and reliable workforce has earned them a strong reputation since first franchising in 1987.
TaxAssist Accountants were awarded Bronze in the same category. Providing tax and accountancy services to small businesses, TaxAssist were established in 1995 and have now over 52,500 clients. Another previous winner of the top honour, they claimed the Gold Award back in 2010.
Home Instead Senior Care took the Customer Focus Award. The home care provider's emphasis on non-medical care of the elderly in the home has seen them go from strength to strength since starting in the UK in 2006.
They also provide specialised Alzheimer's and dementia care and have become renowned for the superb assistance and support they provide.
The Emerging Franchisor of the Year gong went to retail convenience store business One Stop. Having launched their franchise model just 18 months ago the award was a testament to One Stop's huge success, with their stores' free cash machines, post offices, PayPoints, lottery machines and mobile electronic top-ups enhancing a slick multi-service model.
The Franchisee Recruitment Award was lifted by Dream Doors, who have carved their own niche in providing kitchen facelifts by fitting new doors, worktops, sinks and taps.
Established in 1999, with its first showroom opened in 2001, Dream Doors offers a fast, efficient service with as little disruption as possible. They now have over 40 showrooms around the UK.
Dyno claimed the Award for Innovation. The drain care business offers 24-hour emergency response to residential, commercial and industrial premises and has expanded its services to plumbing and home security.
Dyno, founded in 1963, has restructured and modernised its franchise model to terrific effect, growing its range of services and online presence to become stronger.
