A Rewarding Business!
Caremark firmly believe in getting the caring formula right. By really caring about your customers and really caring about your staff, coupled with using our business model and policies, financial success will naturally follow.Your profits matter to us too! That’s why we still have one of the lowest Advice and Support Fees in the industry. We can do this because we are wholly UK owned with no overseas investors to report to.
Why Home Care?
Home care is an extremely stable industry. And it’s growing year on year! With the ageing population ever increasing, and the fact that they’re choosing to receive care in their own homes, means home care is recession and pandemic proof.
With stability and longevity, home care is a great choice for owning a franchise and a profitable future.
Why Caremark?
We’re not new to this. In fact, we are one of the largest home care companies in the UK; delivering more than 124,000 hours hours of excellent home care each week. Our 19 years of experience means our business model and policies are fine-tuned and proven to succeed. As a Caremark franchise owner, you will be one of 126 or so other Caremark offices. That’s a lot of people to bounce ideas off, share success stories and to network with. With that in mind, we facilitate regular events and conferences for our franchise network and provide regular platforms to tap into this non-competing, yet knowledgeable peer group.
Our brand operates in all home care markets. This is because, as we’ve said before, we care passionately about people - all people!
We believe that everyone, regardless of their social standing, should have the right to remain living in their own home and be given the care and assistance to do so as safely and securely as possible.
We have worked hard to build our brand in all markets and across the entire home care industry; serving private customers who pay for their own care as well as customers who require their local authority to arrange care for them. Irrelevant of how people find Caremark, we provide the same exacting, high-quality care to everyone. For you, this means you have access to the entire home care market, not just a portion of it.

Inspirational Independence Day:
Caremark urges over 60s to plan for independence as reports state 4.3 million lose motivation for their passions
Leading UK provider of home care Caremark is celebrating its inspirational customers and urging over 60s to maintain their independence amidst reports that 4.3 million feel less motivated to do the things they once enjoyed1.
Research shows that many older people find it difficult to take part in services or activities that could help maintain their independence, and consequently suffer with their mental wellbeing2. Those who live alone, have health issues or an age-related disability are among those at risk of a decline in their independence2. By actively facilitating independence, Caremark staff are witnessing customers return to activities they once enjoyed.
Rob Driscoll, Care Assistant at Caremark Wandsworth, discusses the impact independence has on a particular customer’s wellbeing:
“Giles is a customer that I’ve been working with for over eight years. He’s unable to talk and uses a wheelchair due to a brain injury acquired from a serious car accident some 30 years ago. I help with all manner of activities that keep this intelligent man as independent as possible. Aside from personal care and meal prep, we play Scrabble and visit the theatre, museums, galleries, and restaurants, and have trips into the countryside - I’ve even accompanied him abroad to make sure he gets the right care.
“With encouragement and by being able to enjoy the things that he used to with his care plan, Giles stays engaged and having his independence has improved his quality of life immeasurably. Next, he’s going to the British Summer Time concert in Hyde Park which he’s really been looking forward to!”
Indi Panagoda from Caremark Chiltern & Three Rivers please relays a positive story of routine for one of their oldest customers:
“Margaret is 106 and lives an independent life despite her mobility issues. Although she can’t walk or cycle everywhere like she used to, her care team ensures she has support to get out and about. The simple things like going shopping or having a birthday lunch out are all possible with extra assistance and these are activities that Margaret and the team look forward to – it makes us all happy.”
David Glover, joint CEO of Caremark, comments:
“Removing the assumption that those who require care can't live an independent life is vital for fostering a society that truly values and respects those of all ages and abilities. Independence is not just a matter of personal freedom; it significantly enhances mental health, wellbeing, and overall quality of life. By supporting independence, we can also help reduce the strain on hospitals and healthcare facilities which are often overwhelmed by preventable conditions exacerbated by inactivity and isolation.
“Encouraging those over 60 who are at risk of declining independence to stay active and engaged in their passions is more critical than ever. At Caremark, we see firsthand how facilitating independence can transform lives. Our staff have witnessed customers like Giles and Margaret re
gain their enthusiasm for life, participating in activities that bring them joy and purpose. These stories, among many others, are a testament to the profound impact that supporting independence can have on an individual's quality of life.”
I chose Caremark because of the brand name. Caremark is nationally known and I also like its mission statement which is to achieve greatness in the provision of domiciliary care throughout the UK. I found out during the initial consultation that Caremark has in place an excellent support package for all its Franchisees and that is something you don't really get with other Franchise companies.”
It is important for any franchisor to quickly recognise weaknesses in their franchise owners and help them grow and develop in those areas. After all, one of the reasons we bought into a franchise was for the guidance and support the franchisor can provide. I believe Caremark, through personal experience, are well placed to recognise these issues in new franchise owners.
If you were to ask me what I was doing right, then the only thing that I can say is that in our business there is no formula for success except perhaps an unconditional acceptance of the Caremark system and what this brings. Caremark is the best investment I have ever made and I would like to share that belief with the rest of the network.
We have worked together for the past 10 years at Oldham local authority within children, young people and families directorate. Having previously considered other franchisors within the domiciliary care sector, we came to the decision that Caremark was the one for us. This was due to the quality and professionalism shown at every level of the organisation.
