The Tartan Campervan Company is an established campervan rental company based in Dundonald, Ayrshire. With a head office based fleet of vans and a growing network of franchisees we have big plans to grow our company across the UK and beyond.

With our rental vans all wrapped in Royal Stewart Tartan, our company is instantly recognisable on the roads of Britain and Europe with customers frequently telling us how they were a big talking point on campsites and in the towns they visited.

The global pandemic has had a huge effect on international travel and this is likely to be the case for many years to come. We have seen a huge increase in the demand for a unique staycation experience and our campervans are now more popular than ever.

With the campervan touring sector being so big across the UK and or brand being so recognisable we feel that growing our market share through franchising is the ideal vehicle for us to grow and share our success with like minded entrepreneurs looking for a fun and profitable lifestyle business.

Franchisee Requirements

No specific skills are required apart from an eye for detail, high standards of cleanliness and a serious focus on delivering amazing customer experiences.

Our franchisees will require the funds to buy their franchise territory and also sufficient investment/funding to acquire their first campervan. We are willing to onboard franchisees who own an already converted campervan provided it meets our minimum specification (age, berth, habitation check etc).

Franchisees should also have a suitable location to meet customers for handovers and to store customer car during their trip. This can be their home address or a business address.

We are looking for business-minded franchisees who are looking to scale their businesses each year. You should be enthusiastic and customer focused with energy and passion.

As a brand we will support your growth but marketing your business within your franchise area requires plenty of effort from yourself also.

You should be able to take vans in and out across the 7 days of the week as we offer flexible pick up days and times to meet the needs of our customers.
