Motorhome and Caravan owners get an inspection carried out for a number of reasons. When a vehicle is purchased new, it is required to have an annual inspection just to maintain the manufacturer's warranty. We are registered with all UK and some European manufacturers to carry out the warranty inspections for them - a large and important part of our business. These inspections are required for typically 7 years after the vehicle is purchased.

Once this mandatory period for inspections are run out, many owners choose to continue having annual inspections. There are two main reasons for this: for safety - they are placing their family and loved ones in an enclosed space with gas and electric appliances and these should be regularly checked. But also to ensure their vehicle remains in good condition. It is far cheaper to have an annual inspection and discover a problem such as water ingress in its early stages, than pay for a major repair further down the line. So, there is a constant demand for our service and we are the only mobile national brand for that service - you can see why our business is growing.

You will be inspecting motorhomes and caravans, using a simple checklist and reporting your findings. You will only be inspecting only the living area, so it is nice clean work. We solve a problem in the motorhome and caravan sector. Owners need to get their vehicles serviced. The problem is, it is difficult getting them booked in to main dealers and there is no national brand of qualified mobile engineers - apart from us. So you can see why our service is popular. Owners can get the same level of professional service they would get from a main dealer on their driveway at no extra cost.

Franchisee Requirements

Our training programme, combined with the National Caravan Council's Approved Workshop Scheme training means you will get all of the training you require to work to professional standards. You do not need any previous experience or qualifications. In addition, our detailed inspection checklist means that you do not need to "Learn" what needs to be done. You simply follow the checklist on every job and report your findings.

We only inspect the living area of the vehicle - we do not inspect the engine, chassis or drive chain. This is nice clean work, where you are doing things like taking damp readings, checking window seals and appliances. You are not expected to make repairs - only report your findings. This is a deliberate policy on our part, so that we are seen to be impartial in the reports we prepare.

Most of our engineers had no prior experience of working with motorhomes or caravans or even doing any kind of engineering work in some cases. Our training is comprehensive and we provide ongoing technical support.
