1. How much does it cost?
Our experience suggests you will need a minimum of £95,000 liquid assets and the ability to raise a further £95,000. That covers the cost of the Franchise Fee, security, fit-out and most costs related to opening the doors of your Anytime Fitness club. This can vary depending on a number of factors including the property you secure.
2. Does that include the cost of the Equipment?
No. Most franchise owners take advantage of the financing provided by our preferred equipment suppliers to purchase the equipment over a 3 year period. So at the end of the 3 years the franchisee owns the equipment.
3. What’s my return on Investment?
Based on an investment of £190,000 we would expect that your return on initial investment in year 2 should be 43%, and in year 3 should be 58%.

4. Where can I put my Club?
Anytime Fitness is on track to grow to 300 clubs across the United Kingdom. We can operate in towns down to a population of 10,000 people.
5. Who finds the location?
Anytime Fitness has a preferred property agent who will work with you to find a suitable site and will negotiate on your behalf. We also work with a company who can offer you a project management option to get your club fitted out and open much quicker.
6. How big is the Club and is there a cap on the number of Members?
The floor space ranges from 3000 to 5000 square feet, with an ideal size of around 4000 square feet. There is no cap on the number of members. You decide what is best for your Business and your Club.
7. Being open 24 hours, isn’t your insurance expensive?
No, we have a National Supplier and with our integrated security system incorporating the cameras and the Tailgate System our insurance is a lot lower than most other health and fitness clubs.
8. What are Anytime Fitness’s monthly franchise fees?
There is a flat fee of £400 per month plus VAT. Because it is a flat fee it’s easy for you. In addition there is also a monthly National Marketing fee of £150 plus VAT.
9. Can I own more than one Anytime Fitness franchise?
Yes. We have an “Area Development Agreement” that allows you to buy 2 or more Territories up front and it gives you time to open the territories over a longer period of time. Buying 2 or more franchises up front will save you thousands of pounds.
10. What do I get for that Franchise Fee?
- A protected Territory, meaning no other Anytime Fitness club can open in that territory
- Access to our Anytime Fitness support, via our online operations manual (the dashboard), which has marketing plans, fit out guides etc
- Access to your own Franchise Consultant who will help you along the way
- Attendance at New Franchise training - it runs for 4 days and covers all aspects of operating an Anytime Fitness club. It’s free, you just need to cover your transport and accommodation costs and we take care of the rest
- We also offer a worldwide Anytime Fitness conference in the USA each year, last year there were 700 participants
