This figure doubles, if the business has two Directors, we are more than happy to discuss these options in more detail with you.
Franchise Package
As mentioned above the franchise fee is for your exclusive licensed territory and training, but there are other costs related to starting the business which we have put together in a complete package for you at just £7,000 + VAT and this covers:
- The essential professional machinery and equipment required
- Initial supplies of Lawncare chemicals
- Your uniforms and PPE
- Start-up marketing materials to support your launch, such as leaflets and sign writing for your van
Finally, you'll need some working capital to cover you while your business gets up and running; this needs to be enough to cover the initial running costs of the business, and what you might need to take out of the business to cover your personal expenses at home. We will discuss this during your fact-finding process with the Lawnkeeper team.

Thinking about starting your own lawn care company?
Running your own business is something many people dream about, but it sure isn’t easy. If it were, everyone would be doing it!

Before you can even get started and enjoy your first customers, there is a huge list of decisions to make, and tasks to get right – even if it seems to be a straightforward business like lawn care.
For example:
- How will you promote your new business to make sure you get customers quickly enough?
- How will you set up your company, buy insurance, plan for tax, and organise bank accounts?
- How will you decide how much working capital is enough to tide you over while the business builds?
- How can you be sure you are getting the best deal on fertiliser and equipment?
- How will you organise your billing and invoicing so you get paid on time?
This is just a simplified list and there will always more to think about, all while trying to actually deliver the service as well. The even bigger problem is not knowing what you don’t know when it comes to starting a business. The potential obstacles and pitfalls along the way – things you might not anticipate until it’s too late.
So, why go it alone if you don’t have to? Franchising helps you work smarter, not harder
Joining a franchise like Lawnkeeper gives you a blueprint for you to build your own successful version of everything the franchise can do, and – even more importantly, it’s a way of doing things which has already been proven to work across dozens of locations.
On top of that, you’ll also be trained in all their IT and accounts systems, how to make them work for you, and how to plan your jobs in a cost-effective way. Perhaps most importantly, you'll also receive support from a highly experienced team - a team who have been exactly where you are now, and knows how to thrive in the lawn care business.
You’ll be avoiding all the problems and obstacles that you would normally face starting your own business, and jumping straight in with something which has already be perfected and proven.
