Extra Help – A Helping Hand for Everyone

At Extra Help, we believe that owning a home-help franchise is about far more than running a business. It’s about creating a service that genuinely improves people’s day-to-day lives.

Extra Help is a management franchise that offers a flexible range of home-help services, such as domestic cleaning, gardening, shopping, meal preparation, dog-walking, helping out with children and more. Our clientele includes elderly and vulnerable people, working parents and busy professionals – in short, anyone who needs a helping hand.

A franchise that truly supports you

Joining Extra Help means becoming part of a family where you’ll never feel alone. From the moment you join, we aim to build your confidence and capabilities, because when you thrive, your business and clients thrive too. Our approach includes personalised training, ongoing guidance and regular opportunities to connect with our wider network through regional meet-ups.

Our tailored support is designed around you, whether you’re an experienced business owner or exploring the world of self-employment for the first time. Our franchisees come from a variety of backgrounds, and experience in the industry is not essential. Franchisees regularly tell us that the encouragement they receive is one of the most valuable benefits of being with Extra Help – a supportive team is always on hand to guide and encourage you.

A community built on kindness

One of the things that sets Extra Help apart is our strong sense of community throughout our franchise network. Franchisees connect through training sessions, one-to-one check-ins, weekly Power Hours and our Annual Conference, where they exchange ideas, build working relationships and celebrate their wins. This friendly, collaborative atmosphere helps everyone to succeed.

Many describe Extra Help as a community of like-minded people who are genuinely passionate about helping others. Whether it’s a quick check-in call with our experienced Head Office team, refresher training sessions or shared advice from fellow franchisees, Extra Help always ensures you feel connected.

Purpose that matters

Running an Extra Help franchise gives you the chance to make a real and visible difference in people’s lives and your work will be deeply rewarding. Helping someone stay independent at home, offering companionship to someone who’s lonely, or easing the burden on a busy family – these precious moments are at the heart of everything we do.

Our franchisees often talk about the feel-good factor that comes from this kind of meaningful business. In their own words, it’s about enriching lives and building strong reputations within their local communities based on compassion, integrity and trust.

Your journey starts with support

Extra Help gives you a tried-and-tested, easy to replicate business model, along with the tools and training to build something you’ll be truly proud of. With encouragement every step of the way, and opportunities to grow both personally and professionally, our franchisees find this journey deeply fulfilling.

Could you be our next franchisee?

If you want to combine your entrepreneurial spirit with meaningful impact, helping others while building a purposeful business, Extra Help could be the ideal next step in your career.

Why Extra Help’s Latest Franchisee Satisfaction Survey Results Will Convince You to Join Us

When you’re thinking about investing in a franchise, there’s one thing you absolutely deserve to know: Are the existing franchisees genuinely happy?

Extra Help News Image

Not just coping. Not just fine. But are they thriving, proud, and confident about their future?

Because choosing a franchise is about choosing a partner, a system, a culture, and a positive future. Nothing reveals the truth about a franchise more clearly than the voices of the existing franchisees, who are living, breathing and working with it every day.

The WorkBuzz Franchisee Satisfaction Benchmark

That’s why Extra Help commissions an annual survey, conducted by WorkBuzz*, a leading independent franchise consultancy. The survey aims to assess our franchisees’ satisfaction and identify areas for improvement in our performance. It provides insights into franchise operations and measures satisfaction across six key dimensions that contribute to overall franchisee contentment. All franchisees are invited to participate anonymously and, this year, 73% of our franchisees responded.

The results are now in and we’re delighted to say the numbers don’t just look good, they shine!

A year of exceptional growth, confidence and momentum

Extra Help achieved an outstanding 86% overall satisfaction score in 2026, which is a huge leap forward for us:

  • +28% compared to 2025
  • +27% compared to 2024

This shows that Extra Help is not a franchise that’s standing still. It’s a home-help franchise that listens, evolves, and invests in its people. As a result of this survey, we’ve been awarded a prestigious 5‑Star Franchisee Satisfaction Award and entry into the Best Franchise Awards!

For prospective franchisees, this is the kind of proof that matters. It shows a franchise with strong foundations, clear direction, and a network of franchisees who feel really positive about their journey ahead.

A franchise network that goes above and beyond

Several of the measures within the survey achieved a perfect 100% satisfaction score, which means every franchisee agreed!

These top strengths include:

  • Go the Extra Mile
  • Maintain Standards
  • Expand Business
  • Recommend to Others
  • Initial Training and Support

These aren’t by any means small wins; they’re the foundations of a thriving home-help franchise network. When every franchisee says they’d recommend Extra Help and aim to expand their business, it shows deep trust, strong results, and a genuine belief in our business model.

For anyone considering joining Extra Help, this is the kind of proof that matters. It shows we’re a franchise network where people don’t just survive, they feel supported, keen to grow, and want others to achieve the same success.

High scores across the areas that matter the most

Beyond the perfect scores, Extra Help also achieved exceptionally high results – between 89% and 95% – in the areas that define a healthy, supportive, values‑driven, home-help franchise network:

  • Shared Goals
  • Pride in the Brand
  • Strength of Products and Services
  • Respect and Fair Policies
  • Ideas Being Valued
  • Confidence in the Franchise’s Direction

These results paint a picture of a home-help franchise where people feel aligned, respected, and part of something meaningful. They show our franchisees believe in our brand, trust our leadership, and feel their contributions matter.

For a prospective franchisee, this means joining a home-help franchise network where you never feel alone. You’re supported, listened to, and surrounded by like-minded people who want to see you grow.

A culture of pride, purpose and shared success

One of the most powerful messages from the survey is the emotional connection franchisees feel to Extra Help. High scores in ‘Proud’, ‘Shared Goals’ and ‘Confidence’ show a network that is commercially strong and united in its purpose.

Extra Help franchisees aren’t just running businesses. They’re making a visible difference within their local communities, building meaningful relationships with their clients and home-helpers, and representing a brand they believe in. That sense of purpose is a huge part of why satisfaction levels are so high.

Honest, transparent areas for development

A trustworthy franchise isn’t one that claims perfection – it’s one that openly acknowledges and acts on where it needs improvement. For prospective franchisees, this transparency is reassuring. It shows that Extra Help listens, adapts, and continually strengthens its model, and this is exactly what you should expect from a franchise network.

Although our overall score this year was excellent, the survey did highlight a few areas where franchisees would like to see further development. Importantly, most respondents did recognise the significant improvements we’ve made in these areas, compared with previous years.

And crucially, Extra Help doesn’t wait around. Within just 48 hours of receiving this year’s report, we already took action by offering our social media support specialist to franchisees at a special, reduced rate – a practical, immediate step to boost marketing support.

Over the past 12 months, we have also:

  • Increased our marketing support, giving franchisees more tools and guidance to grow their local presence
  • Introduced a half‑yearly online meeting, creating an additional opportunity for franchisees to share advice, collaborate, and build stronger peer relationships
  • Enhanced the content of our Annual Conference, shaped directly by franchisee feedback
  • Expanded rewards and recognition, including Franchisee and Home‑Helper of the Month awards, to celebrate outstanding contributions across the network
  • Increased the number of ad‑hoc training sessions, including specialist training on new digital tax legislation.

We also continue to be on hand for any advice and support our franchisees need. One franchisee recently shared how acting on Extra Help’s guidance transformed their business:

“My business was doing well but, for some reason, I always felt like I could do things better my way. However, in one of the weekly meetings with Claire, she said something that I really took seriously. This time I actually did what she advised me to do and my gosh, how she was right! I acted upon her advice and the results have been incredible – I’m getting more enquiries than ever before! In last year’s survey, I complained about certain aspects of the franchise but, once I took Claire’s advice, it did incredible things for my business.”

This kind of feedback reflects what we strive for – a franchise that listens, responds, and works in partnership with its franchisees to help them thrive.

A franchise built on heart, trust and real results

This Franchisee Satisfaction Benchmark Report makes one thing clear: Extra Help is a home-help franchise where people feel valued, supported, and proud of the work they do.

With perfect scores in key areas; exceptional results across culture and brand strength; and a transparent approach to improvement, Extra Help stands out as a home-help franchise built on genuine care and proven success.

If you’re looking for a home-help franchise that offers purpose as well as profit, and a network that will cheer you on every step of the way, Extra Help is a brand that’s well worth exploring.
