Own a rewarding and profitable management franchise within the rapidly growing social care sector. With a SureCare franchise, you will be joining a leading provider of homecare with a proven track record.
When you own a SureCare franchise, you are in business for yourself, but never by yourself. The quality of care we deliver to our customers is matched only by the quality of support and guidance we provide to all of our franchise owners.
Established in 1994, SureCare has grown to become one the UK's most trusted and leading care service providers. We provide a range of outstanding support to families, with services including personal care, companionship and home support to elderly individuals, as well as to adults and children living with disabilities. We provide an invaluable service which allows people to remain at home in their family surroundings, enjoying a comfortable and enhanced quality of life, as opposed to moving into a specialist care setting or retirement home.

What really makes SureCare unique is the huge variety of services we make available to families, including; companionship care, home help for adults and children, personal care, domestic babysitting services, as well as the ability to deliver more specialised care services such as children’s mobile crèche provision for domestic and commercial clients, respite care, hospice care and end of life care to name just a few.
The Market
Our society is witnessing a period of demographic change as our ageing population is increasingly rapidly. Care services in the home are growing in demand, so much that the current UK home care market value stands at a staggering £6bn, with two thirds of this being spent on care for the over 65s.
At SureCare, we offer a wise investment into a growing market. We offer our franchisees the opportunity to create their own successful businesses in one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK, offering both financial rewards and the knowledge that you are providing an invaluable service to your local community.
One of the most compelling reasons to invest in a SureCare franchise is the multiple revenue streams that our franchisees can benefit from, due to the comprehensive package of care and support services offered by the company. From personal care to help with household chores, SureCare operators can deliver a wide range of services to meet the needs of any individual.
Who We Look For
You don't necessarily need to have any previous care experience to run a profitable SureCare franchise. As a management franchise, the ideal candidates will be:
- Hard working
- Have excellent people skills
- And possess the skills and capabilities to manage and lead others.
Many of SureCare’s franchisees over the years have come from different backgrounds and careers, but all of them share the same passions and objectives – to build a successful business and to provide a meaningful service that helps to enrich the lives of clients under their care.
Training and Support
We need our franchisees to have the knowledge and confidence to be able to deliver excellent customer service from day one.
That’s why all of our franchisees must complete our week-long intensive induction course as part of the overall onboarding process, prior to commencement of trading. During the induction, you’ll meet with key figures in our National Operations team at our Head Office in Chester, Cheshire.
In addition to the initial induction, we offer ongoing training, mentoring, and fantastic levels of support in key areas of:
- Business development
- Finances
- Operations
- Recruitment
- Marketing
You will be also able to take advantage of the SureCare central marketing support – including branded marketing literature, merchandise, website and online resources, PR, business stationery and more – from the beginning, which are often beyond the reach of a typical start-up business.
Investment
There is an initial investment required to start a sustainable SureCare franchise. The amount will vary to some degree, depending on the size and location of your chosen franchise territory area, as well as the ownership of the office premises you operate from.
Our franchise fee is £39,500 (ex. VAT). However, the total investment amount required typically ranges between £100,000 - £130,000. This amount includes the franchise fee, as well as the working capital you’ll need to keep your business running in the early months.
Our Franchise Recruitment Manager will discuss funding with you in more detail, and once we have jointly established the true capital requirement, we can then discuss how this capital is raised and deployed.
Whatever that amount may be, you will be expected to contribute 30% of that amount as direct cash from your own resources. Over the years, SureCare has established strong relationships with several High Street banks, who can support you with a business loan for the remainder of the total investment amount.
The Numbers
Our franchise offices are extremely successful and have enjoyed sustained growth. A number of franchise owners have reported turnover levels in excess of 1,000,000 per annum.
We aim for new franchisees to break even within 12 months of operation, although this can vary based on different factors like a franchise’s individual performance and following our guidance closely. We would expect an established office to achieve net profits (before franchise owner earnings and franchise costs) of 15-20%.

SureCare begins care operations in Scotland for the first time
SureCare has proudly become one of the leading domiciliary care providers throughout England over the last 30 years. Now with newly registered franchise operators in Scotland, we’re pleased to see our services reaching more communities than ever before.
We recently welcomed our first franchisees in Scotland to join our growing network of home care providers. SureCare Ayrshire and SureCare Glasgow launched in late 2023 with the aim of reaching people in their local communities.
Husband-and-wife duo Moses and Anie Okpala lead the way at SureCare Ayrshire, while sisters-in-law Sammira and Sumaira Iqbal head up operations at SureCare Glasgow. Our franchisees at both of these businesses have shown real determination to get up and running, and start providing services straight away.
However, one of the biggest hurdles for new care providers is the requirement to attain registration with the national care regulatory body. We’re delighted to see that both our Ayrshire and Glasgow franchisees have now cleared this rigorous process and achieved their registrations with the Care Inspectorate. This now allows them to begin delivering quality care services in their respective areas.
Care Registration
Like all providers in the social care sector, it is mandatory for SureCare franchisees to be registered with the national regulator before they can carry out any personal care services. For our franchise operators in England, this is the Care Quality Commission, and we’ve supported many franchisees in the past with the intensive registration process.
As social care is a devolved matter, Scotland uses a different national regulatory body to England. Scotland’s Care Inspectorate functions in a very similar way to the CQC, but there are also some key areas where processes and guidance differ.
It is important that we at SureCare’s Head Office provide a high level of franchising support to guide our new franchisees through the Care Inspectorate’s registration process. This means that we can help them to develop the tools and skills required for operating a successful business in quality home care.
To facilitate this further, we have also welcomed Ross McNeil to the SureCare team as our dedicated Business Development Manager for Scotland. Ross’ background includes working with various care providers in Scotland, and he brings with him a wealth of knowledge and previous experience in dealing with matters relating to the Care Inspectorate and their procedures.
Future Expansion
Thanks to the dedication of Moses, Anie, Sammira and Sumaira, as well as their respective care teams in Ayrshire and Glasgow, we’re delighted to see SureCare’s unique range of home care services now operating in Scotland for the first time! But it certainly doesn’t end there.
We are already engaged with new prospective franchisees to begin operating their own SureCare businesses in other areas of Scotland. Through this, we’ll see our quality care services being able to reach more people in more communities in the future, with our new Dumfries & Galloway franchisee currently in the early stages.
With the support of Ross and the wider SureCare Head Office team behind them, we’re looking forward to welcoming more new franchisees aiming to enhance the lives of people throughout Scotland with quality care services.
We chose a franchise because it gives support on time-consuming issues such as policy, procedures and legislation, so it left us free to provide care. When we started out eight years ago, we were the sole carers, as well as looking after the marketing the business. Today we have 60 staff providing care for more than 100 children and older people.
I started off as a carer and then worked as a manager in the office of a care franchise, so I chose a franchise when I decided to start my own business. Care is heavily regulated and when I started the regulations were in flux, so I wanted the support of a franchisor. I’ve now got about 100 service users and have built up a team of 40 staff. I need much less franchisor support now, but it’s always there if needed and I talk regularly with other franchisees. We swap tips, advice and ideas so the franchise comes with a useful network.
