One night, two huge wins, and what the double-double means for you and your future
When you’re researching franchise opportunities in the care sector, how can you be sure the one you’re looking at truly stands head and shoulders above everything else on offer?
The answer? When an independent panel of judges tell you not once, but twice.
The annual Home Care Awards are very much like the Grammys of the care sector, and the 2026 event earlier this month delivered a huge win:
Radfield Home Care was named Gold Winner for Most Outstanding National Home Care Group or Franchise Network.
The award was accepted by Dr Hannah MacKechnie and Phil MacKechnie at the National Conference Centre, on behalf of every franchise partner, care professional, client, and member of the national team who has contributed to making Radfield what it is today.

What made the judges' verdict particularly remarkable is the language they used. They didn't say Radfield was very good, or among the best. They said it was head and shoulders above the competition, and singled out the franchise support and the overall model as the reasons why.
Radfield has now won this national award twice, having also taken the top prize in 2023. The network has also received the Princess Royal Training Award in both 2022 and 2025, recognising the quality of its approach to developing the people who work within it.
This isn’t marketing - this is genuine industry recognition for what the franchise, and its partners, does every day for communities all around the country.
Alongside the national award, Radfield Home Care Wakefield & Huddersfield was also named Gold Winner for Best Individual Home Care Franchise within a Network.
It’s a remarkable double-double win, and well worth considering what that actually means.
