Rainbow Care Group Dementia Day Care - Changing the way dementia care is provided in the UK one franchise at a time.
Profit with Purpose.
The Rainbow Care Group was founded by Megan and Natalie in 2014 because they knew that dementia care needed to be better. They set about challenging the norms and created a radically different dementia day care service that has had an immensely positive impact on the clients that they have supported so far.
Their pioneering approach to dementia care is unique and refreshing and they have made it their mission to inspire and shape the way dementia care will be delivered in the future.
Rainbow club members attend specially selected community venues for a day of meaningful and purposeful activities. The company promotes dignity in dementia and for the people attending it feels more like a day out than being ‘put into care’. This is achieved by getting to know the people we support and shaping their days around their interests. It gives people a day/or days to look forward to each week and just as importantly enables families to access care guilt free, as they are safe in the knowledge that their loved one is having a fun day out.
The Franchise Opportunity
With 15 franchises appointed in our first year we are reaching more and more families that need support through the day to deal with the consequences of dementia. By appointing more franchises over the coming years we aim to change the way that dementia care is provided within the UK and eventually overseas.
You’ll offer a day care service providing an amazing day of friendship, variety and gentle activity for people with Dementia.
Each group typically has 10 – 12 people per group managed by a small team of carers and yourself or a manager. Each day is very carefully choreographed centred around the needs and interests of the group and all food and drink is provided.
Each group meets at the same venue, on the same day at the same time each week. Some venues run several days each week. Those that attend are picked up and dropped off by one of our colourful mini buses or they are dropped off by family or others at the venue.
In addition to the usual venue, you’ll also organise days trips and lunches out from your venues which might be a visit to the local pub or fish and chips in the park.
Either way, you or one of your team will have set the room up for the day before everyone arrives. Rainbow venues have a large inventory of activities, stock and equipment and activities that can be anything from cooking, to painting to playing pitch and putt or learning a new skill with others in the group.
Franchisee Requirements
We are looking for Franchisees who have a caring mentality and one where the amazing work we are doing resonates with them.
We can teach most things but personality, hard work and a compassionate nature are what you will need to bring to the franchise.
