Snak Appeal has supported Tŷ Hafan since 2011 through the sale of their sweets to various, schools, businesses and organisations across Wales and to date have raised the amazing sum of £130,429. The sweet boxes have been made to represent Tŷ Hafan with the logo as well as a mission statement. Snak Appeal has four franchisees who work across Tŷ Hafan’s catchment area which includes mid, south and west Wales (from Aberystwyth downwards) but will accept a child wherever they live in Wales

Keech Hospice Care has been working in partnership with Snak Appeal since 2008, raising over £234,000 in that time – an amazing total. This funding has allowed us to deliver vital work for our patients and their families and make a real difference to them when it matters most. In addition to the funds raised through their work across the communities we serve, Snak Appeal staff, importantly, also raise awareness of the range of service we provide across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Milton Keynes. Snak Appeal have over 1,000 sweet and snack boxes placed within our area which is amazing for advertising the work of our hospice, and Keech Hospice Care is just one of 29 children’s charities which Snak Appeal supports nationally, with a total raised of over £2 million.

My partner and I have been franchisees since June 2011 and have never had any regrets. The advice and support we have received from Snak Appeal has always been excellent and any queries we have had have always been resolved straight away. I have been a Snak Appeal franchisee for over six years now. It's a great way to run your own business, but with the knowledge that there is always someone at the other end of the phone ready to help in any way. John is always ready to pass on any tips and information to make it a smooth ride, having been there and done that! I can't think of any other job that has the flexibility of this one. Customers are always pleased to see me which is nice and some have become friends! I love being known as the 'Sweet Lady', and I know that my local hospice really appreciate what we do.

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well. I'm just back from a few days in New York with the family celebrating my 50th birthday. It was a trip we would never have been able to dream about until I joined Snak Appeal. Well anyway, there we were, stood waiting for our bus in Downtown Manhattan, when the two ladies in front of us in the queue with their daughters turned around to be sociable and instantly said "YOU'RE THE SWEETY MAN!!!" They both work at a nursery I deliver to in Crawley.

Having started working as a Franchisee in April 2017, coming from an employment background, it is a refreshing change to take your life into your own hands. The team are incredibly supportive and patient before you start. The business is flexible, which for me is vital. The ethics and the purpose of business are good, which spur you on from day-to-day. As a business, it is cash flow rich, and the risks are small compared to other businesses. If you are coming over from the employment world and want to get into a simple and profitable business, you should seriously consider Snak Appeal, it works.

18 months ago I was searching for a new job where I could be my own boss and found the Snak Appeal franchise, which definitely 'appealed' to me. The idea of raising funds for a local children's hospice, plus being able to earn a good living, sounded too good to be true, but it wasn't and here I am 18 months later, earning a good living with a feel-good factor attached to it as the hospice is being supported as well. The sweets and snacks are very tasty and in my opinion, nicer than other charity sweets out there in the market. There is a very wide selection available and of course I've had the pleasure of tasting them all! I now have over 270 sites and love visiting them either fortnightly or monthly. Faces light up when I arrive up to replace the box and they call me 'The Sweetie Lady'. A few months ago, my husband also decided to join Snak Appeal and has taken on another area and is in the process of building up the round. He knows there is potential to do as well as I am and is really pleased to have started this. I would have no hesitation in recommending Snak Appeal to anyone wanting the kind of job that I am doing.

We bought a Snak Appeal franchise 5 months ago as a husband and wife team. It is wonderful to be able to earn a very good living ourselves and in addition provide funding for the local children`s hospice. When servicing the boxes we are met with a very positive response. We would have no hesitation in recommending prospective franchisees in purchasing a franchise in this very worthwhile venture. We have been running the Snak Appeal franchise as a husband and wife team for 7 years in October 2017, which has provided our only source of income. It is great to run a business on a self employed basis where you are left to your own devices, unless help is needed. John is always available to provide help and support in all aspects of the business. We manage, with a little bit of topping up, to maintain approx 230 sites in our area which is North Essex (Little Havens Children's Hospice). We still have, after 7 years, potential to expand should we need to or want to. A huge bonus in running the franchise is that, not only can you earn an income, but also you are putting a bit back in and helping the Children's Hospice in fundraising, which is a lovely feel good factor. We are always met with a friendly welcome in the sites (some of which we have had from day one!) and most people have the same outlook as us, in that they are pleased to be able to help the hospice by buying sweets, flapjacks or bags of savouries at the same time.
