She was lovely and fair…and a great entrepreneur
Last week saw the crowing of the London Rose as this year’s Rose of Tralee. The annual festival is referred to by cynics as a glorified lovely lady festival, however this year many of the Roses proved themselves as very able and enterprising young women, some with aspirations as entrepreneurs. The conclusion of the festival was celebrated with the crowning of Charmaine Kenny who represented London in this year’s competition.
During her interview with festival host Ray d’Arcy, Charmaine spoke about her plans to become an entrepreneur following the end of the festival, saying that she believed the economic downturn is providing amble opportunity for business start ups – smart lady! While Charmaine’s plans to start her own business will have to go on hold as she begins a busy year as the international representative for the festival, there are many business opportunities out there for ladies interested in getting in business for themselves!
Franchise Direct have prepared a directory of franchise opportunities for women, which are wide ranging in terms of industry and investment level. The opportunities include web design franchises, children’s franchises, recruitment franchises and fitness franchises among others.
