Established in 1995, TaxAssist Accountants are the UK’s largest network of accountants providing a full range of payroll, bookkeeping, accountancy and tax services specifically to the small business sector.
Our clients are self employed people, sole traders, partnerships and small limited companies with a turnover of less than £1 million.
You don’t need to be a trained accountant to enjoy the benefits of joining the multi award winning TaxAssist Accountants franchise. As the principal of the practice, your role will be client acquisition and practice management whilst employing accountants to complete the production work.
That said we do have many successful accountants running highly profitable businesses!
Industry recognition
The British Franchise Association and HSBC announced TaxAssist Accountants as the Gold winner at the Franchisor of the Year Awards for 2010; this was on the back of being named Silver winners in 2008 & 2009.
In July 2011 TaxAssist Accountants were again recognised by Accountancy Age as one of the UK’s Top 50 Accountancy Networks (the only Accountancy Franchise to be listed) being ranked as the 29th largest in the UK, up on the 34th placing in the 2010 rankings.
Against a national trend that saw 15 of the Top 50 firms in decline and the overall UK fee income of the Top 50 fall by £80m from £9.87bn to £9.79bn, TaxAssist Accountants were one of just 8 of the Top 50 showing double digit growth with sales increasing by 16% from £16.25m in the 2010 rankings to £18.9m in 2011.

We offer two entry levels to the franchise.
The standard entry package costs £34,450 + VAT and includes:

The second package is the rural package and costs £19,950 + VAT. The main differences between the two are that for the rural package you would be paying a reduced franchise fee and your ongoing costs would also be lower as you only have a territory half the size of a standard size territory.

| Bank funding
Despite what you may have read, for the right franchise the banks are very much open for business. TaxAssist Accountants have formed strong relationships with NatWest / RBS, the Lloyds Banking Group and HSBC a result of which the banks are providing great deals for our franchisees. Typically the banks will lend 70% of the total investment including working capital at very favourable rates thanks to the success of our network. Many franchisees that do not have equity in a property to provide security have also benefited from the government backed Enterprise Finance Guarantee (EFG) scheme which provides the bank with the required security. In February 2009 the Master Franchise License for the Republic of Ireland was sold and so the international expansion of TaxAssist Accountants began. The Irish Master Franchisees have now recruited 12 franchisees and are actively looking to recruit franchisees nationwide.
