A little bit more about BFT


Launching with four franchises in Melbourne in April 2018, BFT now has 700 franchises sold and 300+ locations open across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, UK, Canada, USA and, most recently, Hong Kong. New studios are opening soon in Spain, Malaysia and Indonesia and the UK continues to accelerate its growth with 12 new signed locations. BFT was also awarded the APAC Franchise of the Year Award for two years in a row in 2020 and 2021 and is part of Xponential Fitness, the largest global franchise group of boutique fitness brands.

Our 3 core pillars are:

In your own studio, you will deliver programs to members that are specifically designed to burn fat, build muscle and get members results. Our huge variety of 14 class types is carefully curated in a scientific and progressive nature based on the power of 3. The training involves each week activating 3 muscle fibre types, working through 3 planes of movement and stressing 3 energy systems. Sessions are also measured to ensure optimum results, utilising the most innovative technology within the industry.

Successful BFT studios currently operate in a mix of zones, from retail and commercial through to shopping centres and industrial estates. Ground floor is preferred as this creates easier access and visibility, as well as less requirements for building requirements.

We are looking for either fitness owner-operators wanting to work in the business with a hands–on approach or entrepreneurs keen to drive new sources of income by appointing studio managers on their behalf. Once you become a franchisee with BFT, you will go through 6 full days of comprehensive training to help you (and your team) launch your studio. We will also assign a Regional Franchise Manager (RFM) to you who will guide you through the steps of getting your studio open. This person stays with you after your business opens and will be on hand to support in areas such as business operations, business development and overall performance.

Other training and support available to you includes:

How much does a BFT franchise cost?


For anyone considering becoming a BFT franchisee, there is a very compelling financial model due to low start-up costs compared to other fitness concepts. There are also high margins per member and lower operating costs, resulting in early break-even and an attractive return on investment (currently at 18 months).

Based on established studios, the ongoing profit per year is significant, with multi units also available. Franchisees will need a minimum investment of £80,000 and the balance can be funded. With 550+ franchisees across Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America and the UK, the franchise has increased its revenue by six per cent since 2022 and the compound annual growth rate by 45% over the last three years. This development highlights the demand for world-class training programmes and practices both in the UK and worldwide.

Building on BFT’s commitment to provide world-class fitness to as many communities as possible, the franchise has continued to expand its global footprint with 60 new franchisees in 2023, of which 44 will have opened their studios by year end. With a presence now in Hong Kong, Spain and Malaysia, the UK has also accelerated its growth and has welcomed a further 12 new signed locations, including the first Scottish franchisee in Glasgow. The capital is quickly growing into the hub of BFT’s UK network with ten locations sold and plenty more in the pipeline, including the recent launch of BFT Hackney on 2nd December.

“2023 has been another strong year for BFT with regards to franchise growth and members in the UK and worldwide,” said BFT Founder Cameron Falloon. “We’re really optimistic about the future, and we now want to build on this success and grow our brand to every major town and city. We have ambitious growth plans to boost our presence globally and by 2025 aim to sell 900 studios and have 450 open. Europe is next on the target bucket list – we are launching our debut studio in Barcelona in the new year and are currently in discussions with prospects in new markets including France, Germany and the Netherlands.

BFT has achieved other notable milestones this year including being ranked number four on the Australian Financial Review's 2023 Fast Global List. In the first quarter of 2023, the brand also partnered with Europe's largest fitness race, HYROX, and became the exclusive training centre for HYROX in Asia-Pacific, making it the largest global partnership for the fitness racing brand. Customer satisfaction is vital for BFT, and a member survey revealed a mid-year NPS score of 65. This high rating demonstrates how the franchise is bringing a world-class fitness experience to local communities across the globe.
