Come and join Caremark - the REAL care company! What do we mean when we say we’re the REAL care company?

We believe that real care is about putting people first. All people! It’s about providing real care to everyone who needs it. And we’re proud to do exactly that.

Our values of respect, honesty, integrity and support remain the same for all of our people; be that a customer, our care team or our franchise network. We really do care about everyone.

It’s these values that make us different… and successful. After all, the strongest businesses are those that set out to make a difference and not only money.
In short, we are exactly what a care company should be!

If you’re looking to make a difference and a rewarding life for yourself, both personally and financially, read on as we’d love to hear from you.

A Rewarding Business!

Caremark firmly believe in getting the caring formula right. By really caring about your customers and really caring about your staff, coupled with using our business model and policies, financial success will naturally follow.

Your profits matter to us too! That’s why we still have one of the lowest Advice and Support Fees in the industry. We can do this because we are wholly UK owned with no overseas investors to report to.

Why Home Care?

Home care is an extremely stable industry. And it’s growing year on year!

With the ageing population ever increasing, and the fact that they’re choosing to receive care in their own homes, means home care is recession and pandemic proof.

With stability and longevity, home care is a great choice for owning a franchise and a profitable future.

Why Caremark?

We’re not new to this. In fact, we are one of the largest home care companies in the UK; delivering more than 124,000 hours hours of excellent home care each week. Our 19 years of experience means our business model and policies are fine-tuned and proven to succeed.

As a Caremark franchise owner, you will be one of 126 or so other Caremark offices. That’s a lot of people to bounce ideas off, share success stories and to network with. With that in mind, we facilitate regular events and conferences for our franchise network and provide regular platforms to tap into this non-competing, yet knowledgeable peer group.

Our brand operates in all home care markets. This is because, as we’ve said before, we care passionately about people - all people!

We believe that everyone, regardless of their social standing, should have the right to remain living in their own home and be given the care and assistance to do so as safely and securely as possible.

We have worked hard to build our brand in all markets and across the entire home care industry; serving private customers who pay for their own care as well as customers who require their local authority to arrange care for them. Irrelevant of how people find Caremark, we provide the same exacting, high-quality care to everyone. For you, this means you have access to the entire home care market, not just a portion of it.

Our Ideal Franchise Owner

Caremark franchise owners come from a variety of backgrounds, some with extensive business experience and others with none at all. Whatever your level of knowledge, we will work in partnership to give you the skills you require. You do not need any care experience.

With a caring nature, great business acumen and dedication, you can have a successful business, both financially and personally. Not only that, you’ll be providing a service that changes lives for the better whilst also creating hundreds of job opportunities. What could be better?

The Caremark Support

With Caremark you are never alone. You will have access to a full team of experts providing excellent training and ongoing in-region support. With 1 Regional Support Manager and 1 Quality and Compliance Manager supporting 20-25 offices, the level of support is exceptionally high, personal and extremely accessible.

Our entire support team are dedicated to assisting you to maximise business growth – we care as much about your business as you do.

The Investment

Our franchise package and license costs £37,500 + VAT. You will require a minimum of £37,500 of your own capital to invest and working capital of around £73,000 for your first year’s running costs.

Caremark has a strong relationship with the major banks, who will consider lending 70% of the total investment of approximately £118,000.

Plus it has one of the lowest ASF (Advice and Support Fee) of 4.5% + VAT and an NMF of 1%.

Join us. You’ll love being part of the REAL care company!

Caremark earns two finalist spots at the British Franchise Association Awards 2024

Caremark, a leading provider of UK home care, has just secured its position as a finalist for two separate awards at the 35th annual BFA HSBC UK British Franchise Association Awards.

On 15th July, the BFA announced that Caremark is up against only four other companies for the Business Transformation award, and that Graham Precious, Managing Director of Caremark Hull & East Riding, is one of six individuals to go head-to-head for the title of Franchisee Trailblazer.

Widely recognised as the UK’s self-regulatory body for franchising, the BFA launched a new Business Transformation category award for 2024, which considers innovative approaches and effective strategies that have led to significant advancements and long-term success.

Driven by its commitment to improving lives each year, Caremark has implemented enterprising changes over the last couple of years, which have earned the franchise its position as a finalist and subsequently resulted in an increase of 26.1% in network turnover (YTD April 2024). Caremark’s notable accomplishments include a strong focus on ethics and its ESG policy; new in-depth training programmes, mentoring and enhanced central support; a new CRM to streamline communications; a focus on positive workplace culture; and a new service that empowers earning potential in the early days of business.

Nominated for the BFA’s Franchisee Trailblazer award, Managing Director of Caremark Hull & East Riding, Graham Precious, has made it to the final six with his outstanding leadership and an innovative approach. Under his guidance, the business has achieved a rolling 12-month turnover of £8.4M with a gross profit of 32% for the financial year ending in March 2024. Other reasons for reaching the final include embracing forward-thinking initiatives such as an in-house bid-writing team, introducing an e-bike scheme for staff, investing in new technology, excellent internal quality audit scores, and winning the Hull People in Business Award for First Class Service across Hull and East Riding in 2023.

Joint CEO of Caremark, David Glover, expressed his delight at making the finals:

“Being named a finalist by the BFA recognises our dedication to improving the business as a whole. Caremark has been a sleeping giant that’s been brought into the 21st century, but these changes haven’t just happened overnight. We have an incredibly talented team at the Franchise Support Centre, and this accolade is down to their consistent hard work and our committed franchises, which have fully embraced improvements.

“It’s extremely satisfying to see all our efforts making a difference – it’s been evident with stronger levels of engagement with our franchise owners and record attendance at our latest annual conference. These closer working relationships have resulted in customer numbers increasing by 12%, staff numbers rising by 23%, and our turnover rocketing.”

Continuing, David commented on Graham Precious’s nomination for the Franchisee Trailblazer Award:

“It’s the icing on the cake that Caremark Hull & East Riding is also a finalist - but not a surprise! Graham has dedicated himself to nurturing a positive workplace culture centred around personal growth, which is undoubtedly why his staff retention rate is 42% above the network average. His commitment to developing the wider network shines through with his dedicated mentorship, idea generation and contribution and openness to embrace new initiatives. It’s a perfect franchisor/franchisee relationship.”

Winners will be announced at a black-tie dinner and awards ceremony held in Telford on Thursday 7th November 2024.

We had a few companies which we were exploring however the values and ethos is what drew us to Caremark. We also took feedback from our friends who were part of the Caremark group already which backed up our decision to join Caremark.
Dev Amin,

I chose Caremark because of the brand name. Caremark is nationally known and I also like its mission statement which is to achieve greatness in the provision of domiciliary care throughout the UK. I found out during the initial consultation that Caremark has in place an excellent support package for all its Franchisees and that is something you don't really get with other Franchise companies.”
Sheriff Eletu,
Caremark
We enjoy a healthy financial bottom line, in a long-term sustainable sector, however, the real deal is that we make such a huge impact on many vulnerable people in our community. It’s very, very rewarding!”
Richard and Emily Magrath,
Caremark
It is important for any franchisor to quickly recognise weaknesses in their franchise owners and help them grow and develop in those areas. After all, one of the reasons we bought into a franchise was for the guidance and support the franchisor can provide. I believe Caremark, through personal experience, are well placed to recognise these issues in new franchise owners.
Calum Gray,
Caremark
If you were to ask me what I was doing right, then the only thing that I can say is that in our business there is no formula for success except perhaps an unconditional acceptance of the Caremark system and what this brings. Caremark is the best investment I have ever made and I would like to share that belief with the rest of the network.
Farina Tayub,
Caremark
We have worked together for the past 10 years at Oldham local authority within children, young people and families directorate. Having previously considered other franchisors within the domiciliary care sector, we came to the decision that Caremark was the one for us. This was due to the quality and professionalism shown at every level of the organisation.
