Who is our ideal franchisee?
First and foremost, you do not need to be experienced in the care industry, but, like all of our franchise owners you need to be a driven and dedicated team leader, caring and know the importance of providing a high-quality service of care.
You don’t even need to have experience of running your own business; the beauty of owning a franchise is that you get all the training and support you need from very experienced professionals. You will also be part of a network of professionals from all walks of life who work together to help each other grow.
Some franchise owners do have previous experience of running a business, but many others come from the corporate world or have only worked for someone else.
Your role as a franchisee can be one of many, however, the majority of our franchise owners focus on business development and running the business, leaving the care specific roles to employed staff.
Once you have joined Acacia Homecare, our team assist you in gaining your accreditation from the CQC, as well as setting up and hiring the relevant staff. Our collaborative process enables you to start your business as quickly as possible.
How big could my franchise become?
As big as you want it to be! The people requiring care from the private sector is growing year on year. Quite simply, the better you are, the more people will want your services.

Acacia Homecare – How it all began…
We are a husband and wife team, Minal and Sanjeev Chowdhri, and together we own and run Acacia Homecare.

We did not go looking for the care service. It found us. Witnessing the care service provided by others to a loved one or ourselves we were thinking, “This could be so much better. This should be so much better.”
This grew into a dream in the summer of 2011; I was a fulltime mother to our son and Sanjeev had just left a job in the city and was looking for something new. With this window of opportunity before us, we looked further into the world of domiciliary care and almost immediately saw our future.
Our decision to start the businesses was driven by our passion to improve domiciliary care, following our first-hand experience with the many challenges that come from trying to find the right kind of quality care for a loved one.
Neither of us come from a healthcare background, we were both formerly professionals in the city, so our journey began with extensive research and careful planning, which laid the foundation for our domiciliary care business.
It took a lot of courage and determination to make such a life-changing career move, so we poured our energy and expertise into building a service which would prioritise quality care and community trust.
The Acacia Homecare vision is simple: we just want to be there to help you do the things that you want to do. We aim to become the standard to which care is measured.
We opened the doors to Acacia Homecare in 2011 and steadily grew our business due to our sterling reputation of going that extra mile.
Over time, our joint efforts paid off, and we truly believe that part of our success has been daring to be different. We have fine-tuned our operation and come up with a unique operating model whilst refining our approach to develop a true management business. This shift not only fuelled significant growth for the business, but also paved the way for others to replicate our achievements through the Acacia Homecare Franchise.
We don’t want to just provide care to our people but also provide a way of living, not only for the person we care for but their family, friends and you too.
Acacia Homecare is not just about the two of us. There is a great family here that we would love for you to meet. Get in touch and come and see us so you can truly understand for yourself.
Acacia Homecare have also been recognised as one of the Top 20 Home Care Groups in the UK in 2023, based on reviews from service users/clients and their family/friends. Read More Here
