"In 2009 I paid £10,000 for a Will writing franchise from a company that promised much but delivered next to nothing. They provided brief training concentrating more on the fact that 70% of people don't have a will so it's a big easy marketplace to get into than on technical knowledge and training which is essential if you want to be successful. The most difficult aspect of owning a will writing business proved to be lead generation. By the end of the year the company stopped trading and my "franchise" was worthless.
