What Is The Investment?
The cost of the franchise is £9,500 and you will need up to £2,500 for setup costs and equipment purchase (laptop and printer).
MagiKats believe that you should have flexibility over how you charge for the services you provide, without worrying about how that impacts on your costs. With that in mind, they do not charge an ongoing percentage based on your turnover like many franchises. Instead, they charge two types of fixed fee each month - a support fee and a materials fee.
Financing:
If you need a small business loan, MagiKats can introduce you to the franchise departments at most major banks that can, subject to status, help you with funding.
You may even qualify for a Government backed Business Start-Up Scheme loan which allows an individual to borrow up to £25,000 without having to invest any money of their own. MagiKats are more than happy to discuss this option in more detail with you.

A flexible future in education
A MagiKats Tutoring franchise was the ideal way for Graham to combine his passion for teaching with the flexibility of being his own boss.
Graham’s career followed several different paths before starting his own business, working as a general manager and management consultant, and then retraining as a teacher relatively later in life. The demands of the school system meant that he was soon looking for an alternative way to stay in education, one that allowed him to follow his calling as a teacher, but on his own terms.
We spoke to Graham about his experiences of running MagiKats Romiley and how he manages his work-life balance as he nears retirement.

As I near retirement, this means that I work part-time, on average two days a week, and still get to enjoy my life outside of the business, as well as absolutely loving teaching my students.
