A rewarding scalable business model for the financially astute
Run your own accounting and advisory business
Now more than ever, you might be thinking about how to make your time and income work harder for your future, so that you’re in control.
As a TaxAssist Accountants franchisee, you can run a thriving accountancy and advisory business, enjoy a growing income from your efforts, and build a valuable asset to sell when the time is right.
You will be able to deliver a suite of accounting, tax, financial and advisory services to local business owners, contractors, freelancers, and their families from your welcoming high street premises.
Franchisees have typically been accountants working both in practice and in industry, as well as in banking, financial, corporate and consulting services. Many also come from a successful business ownership background too.
If you join TaxAssist as a new start franchisee or you are converting your existing practice to TaxAssist Accountants you will need to be a qualified accountant with a practising certificate. TaxAssist can advise you on qualifications and obtaining a practising certificate if this is something you are not familiar with.
If you are purchasing a TaxAssist franchise resale and you are not an accountant with a practising certificate, then having a financial/senior management position within the banking or financial sectors or proven business background is essential. You must attend an initial training course and employ a practice manager who is a qualified accountant to manage the day-to-day operations of the business.

Hugo brings extensive experience in accountancy, finance and strategic advisory services to support the more than 500 local businesses and individuals at the practice. With a strong background not only in helping small and medium-sized enterprises achieve growth, profitability and long-term success, but also owning/running small businesses himself, Hugo is dedicated to providing tailored financial guidance that delivers real results.
“I’ve been working in the practice for a couple of weeks now and it’s been a fantastic experience,” said Hugo. “I’m enjoying collaborating with the team, connecting with existing clients and welcoming new ones who are keen to learn more about what we offer.
“Delivering a first-class responsive service is my passion. I take pride in helping businesses unlock their potential and have a strong track record in adding value to optimise growth, turnover and profitability.
“I’d encourage anyone interested in learning more about our services to get in touch for a free initial consultation. We provide an extensive range of services which include accounts preparation, tax returns, payroll, bookkeeping, tax planning, and broader business advisory and financial planning services.
Being part of a franchise network is the best of both worlds... I get to make my own decisions about the business and yet we are part of this massive network made up of the very supportive franchisor, directors and staff, as well as the other franchisees
I am happy to report that I now have over 400 clients, which generate an income and flexibility in how I work that could not have been achieved on the corporate ladder I stepped off. Further, I know that the practice will be a valuable asset for my future when the time is right. The shops, along with my own marketing, and the initiatives of the TaxAssist Support Centre Team, have proved invaluable in helping me to build a substantial practice.
