James Arthur
James Arthur has been a franchisee since 2014.
Prior to becoming an Ovenclean franchisee, he had enjoyed a successful career, working in international event management before being appointed as Head of Fundraising for a national charity.
After a company restructure in 2012 ended in a voluntary redundancy, James began thinking about an alternative, self-employed lifestyle which would give him more control over his own life and diary. Watch our video below to find out more about James’ move to Ovenclean.
Pam Patel
An uninspiring job role which focused on negative customer experiences left Pam unhappy in her career. Her supportive husband, who recognised how fantastic she was at working with the public, encouraged her to seek a new path. Together, they researched jobs where she could make a difference to other people, offering a service they didn’t want to do themselves and which enabled her to regularly meet new people. They came across Ovenclean, which ticked all the boxes.
She said: “Ovenclean was totally different to what I had always done, and I was worried that I wouldn’t get enough business through the door – there’s a lot of responsibility with being self-employed.

Ovenclean Franchisee Lands Major Contract with Local University Lettings Agent
Just 3 months into his new venture, Chester-based Ovenclean franchisee, Tony Lyth, has managed to secure a lucrative contract to clean over 100 student let properties when the term ends this summer.
Given the tight turnaround time before new students move in, Tony is also involving neighbouring franchisee, John Greaves, who he trained with in January this year. The pair have kept in touch since their training, and regularly share tips and support as they grow their new businesses.
“I’m thrilled to have secured this contract and it will certainly keep us busy this summer! It’s also nice to be able to share the success with John, as we’re aiming to clean around 10 ovens per day, to ensure we fit them all in!” comments Tony.
“There are over 100 properties, and many have 2+ ovens due to the size of property and number of students, so it is a great contract to have won and I’m really looking forward to the challenge! We take great pride in our work, and we’re looking forward to providing a fantastic service and showcasing our expertise and professionalism.”
