A rewarding scalable business model for the financially astute
Run your own accounting and advisory business
Now more than ever, you might be thinking about how to make your time and income work harder for your future, so that you’re in control.
As a TaxAssist Accountants franchisee, you can run a thriving accountancy and advisory business, enjoy a growing income from your efforts, and build a valuable asset to sell when the time is right.
You will be able to deliver a suite of accounting, tax, financial and advisory services to local business owners, contractors, freelancers, and their families from your welcoming high street premises.
Franchisees have typically been accountants working both in practice and in industry, as well as in banking, financial, corporate and consulting services. Many also come from a successful business ownership background too.
If you join TaxAssist as a new start franchisee or you are converting your existing practice to TaxAssist Accountants you will need to be a qualified accountant with a practising certificate. TaxAssist can advise you on qualifications and obtaining a practising certificate if this is something you are not familiar with.
If you are purchasing a TaxAssist franchise resale and you are not an accountant with a practising certificate, then having a financial/senior management position within the banking or financial sectors or proven business background is essential. You must attend an initial training course and employ a practice manager who is a qualified accountant to manage the day-to-day operations of the business.

Franchisee satisfaction rises at TaxAssist Accountants
TaxAssist Accountants has been awarded 5-Star Franchisee Satisfaction status for the 14th consecutive year, as its latest independent survey records an increase in both satisfaction and participation.
The latest independent survey, conducted by leading franchise consultancy WorkBuzz, also saw TaxAssist Accountants rewarded for continuous improvement, reflecting the Group's ongoing focus on listening to franchisees and enhancing the support, systems and opportunities available across the network.
The annual survey provides franchisees with the opportunity to anonymously share their experiences of operating within the TaxAssist network. It covers six key dimensions, Training & Support, Franchise System, Culture & Relationships, Leadership, Value & Rewards and General Satisfaction. This year's results showed an increase in both participation and overall satisfaction. The survey response rate rose 8% to 69%, while TaxAssist's overall franchisee satisfaction rating increased from 83% to 85%.
James Mattam, Group Director of Franchising at TaxAssist Accountants, said: “We are delighted to have once again been awarded the prestigious 5-Star Franchisee Satisfaction accolade, achieving this recognition for the 14th consecutive year. To receive this recognition consistently over such a long period is something we are extremely proud of.
“It is particularly encouraging to see our overall satisfaction rating increase this year. The feedback we receive through the survey is incredibly valuable. It gives us a real insight into the experience of individuals across our network, helps us identify what we are doing well and, just as importantly, highlights areas where we can continue to improve.
“The additional recognition for continuous improvement reflects our commitment to listening to our franchisees and acting on their feedback. As the network continues to evolve, ensuring that we provide the right support, tools and opportunities for our franchisees remains a key priority for us.”
Achieving the 5-Star Franchisee Satisfaction Award for a 14th consecutive year, alongside recognition for continuous improvement, reinforces TaxAssist Accountants' commitment to building a strong, supportive and continually evolving franchise network.
The Franchisee Satisfaction Benchmark is provided by WorkBuzz, a leading independent franchise consultancy. It works by inviting existing franchisees to participate in an anonymous online survey which asks them 31 questions about their franchise ownership experience. Using a consistent methodology, the franchise is assigned an overall FSB score and the highest performing franchisors are recognised in the Best Franchise Awards.
Being part of a franchise network is the best of both worlds... I get to make my own decisions about the business and yet we are part of this massive network made up of the very supportive franchisor, directors and staff, as well as the other franchisees
I am happy to report that I now have over 400 clients, which generate an income and flexibility in how I work that could not have been achieved on the corporate ladder I stepped off. Further, I know that the practice will be a valuable asset for my future when the time is right. The shops, along with my own marketing, and the initiatives of the TaxAssist Support Centre Team, have proved invaluable in helping me to build a substantial practice.
