Almost anyone! It’s all about attitude... We look for someone with great people skills who can build relationships with customers and has a passion for selling. You need to be dedicated and willing to put in some serious effort, but if you have a positive attitude and the motivation, we can give you the tools you need to build a profitable, rewarding business.
 

What’s it like owning a Snap-on franchise?


No two days are the same, and that’s something that franchisees tell us they love! Daily activities include:
  • Planning your day! Using the dedicated point of sale system, you can easily prepare your bespoke sales pitch for every customer
  • Merchandising! Snap-on will provide you with plenty of sales promotions but you get to organise your store your way to entice customers to buy more!
  • Delivering exceptional service to your customers; identifying their wants and needs and offering them a solution
  • Back of house admin such as stock checks, stock orders and managing customer orders.

Never run your own business before? No problem.


We’ve trained over 400 franchisees in the UK - people just like you. Training starts with ten days of classroom-style training where you will learn how to run a successful Snap-on franchise. Then it’s time to collect your own custom-built mobile store and meet the associates who will support you on a daily basis.

Once you’re out on the road, your one-to-one training continues with your dedicated Franchise Developer who will ride with you for your first four weeks. As part of our six-month intensive onboarding process, you’ll then receive a further 30 days of on-van support from a Sales Developer and Business Manager - that’s 50 contact days in your first six months!

Support for life


Our team of 165 head office associates support you in all areas of your business; from sales and marketing to product, IT and finance. After your six-month on- boarding programme, a Franchise Performance Team is available to help support your business every step of the way.

Your Business Manager will regularly work with you to analyse your business and identify areas for growth. Your Sales Developer will help you to identify ways that can help maximise your sales potential. We hold monthly and quarterly franchisee forums, an annual conference and our legendary tool show.

Double award whammy for Snap-on Tools UK!

At its core, franchising entails franchisor and franchisee celebrating their successes, hand in hand. By way of a perfect example, Snap-on Tools is revelling in the news of not one but two award nominations in the 2024 British Franchise Awards.

On the 15th of July, the tool giant was named as a finalist in the ‘Established Franchisor of the Year Award’. Whilst powerhouse franchisee, Elio Auletta, was revealed as a finalist in the category ‘Franchisee Trailblazer’. No stranger to the awards programme, Snap-on has been a finalist in various categories for the last four years and won the title of Bronze Franchisor of the Year in 2020.

In association with the HSBC and British Franchise Association (BFA), the British Franchise Awards recognise the very best franchised businesses in the country, celebrating consistent growth, innovation and contribution to the sector. Franchising contributes over £17.2billion to UK GDP and more than 710,000 people are employed in the industry across the country.

The brand was named the UK’s number one franchise in 2023 and 2024 in the prestigious Elite Franchise Top 100 awards whilst franchisees scooped titles including Luke Henderson’s Great British Franchisee award in late 2023.
