About This Video
In this interview, James Watson explains how he and his parents, John and Sally, have run a Prestige Nursing & Care franchise for almost 15 years. He describes being drawn to Prestige because it was itself an established family business, and how the family's own experience in healthcare, as both patients and practitioners, shaped their approach. They also saw home care as a sector likely to remain resilient to economic pressures. James reflects on what he finds rewarding, from offering long-term employment to hundreds of people across the region to building relationships with the NHS, councils and legal firms supporting clients with life-changing injuries. He shares service-user stories, notes the business now provides around 4,000 care hours a week with ambitions to grow further and move toward digitised care, and encourages others to join the Prestige family. Figures and milestones are shared as his own account of the franchise.
