About This Video
This it'seeze Franchise Journey features Nic and Sarah, the operators behind the it'seeze Hull territory inside the it'seeze Franchise UK network. The video is the partner-side journey asset that complements the customer-success-story showcase where customers describe their work; this asset describes their own decision-making and the operating reality of running an it'seeze Franchise UK partnership.
Nic describes a pre-franchise career flying for meetings around Europe and across the United States, working weekends to run somebody else's business at significant scale. The realisation point was simple: he was making a lot of money for other people, and the math on transitioning to building his own business worked. The hidden costs of starting a non-franchise business, such as employing somebody at 25k a year which actually costs 32-34k after sick pay, holidays, PAYE and pension, made the franchise route a no-brainer for the support equation.
On first-year operating performance, Nic and Sarah completed roughly 100 websites in their first twelve months inside the it'seeze Franchise UK partnership.
Marketing offers ideas and campaign material; the partners run their own campaigns but the brand support is there if needed. Business development checks in regularly to make sure partners are on track and going well. The domains team and the support team handle the technical issues partners do not want to handle themselves. The designer and developer team produces the work the partner briefs in - structurally important because Nic positions himself as a designer who is not a coder; passing instructions to a talented design and development team produces output exactly as he wants. Finance department handles AR chasing on the partner's behalf.
Partners get to know head-office staff on first-name terms, can pick up the phone for a chat, and operate inside a real partner community rather than a paper-only franchise structure.
