About This Video
In this Access4Lofts UK testimonial, new franchisee Dale Lewis walks through his decision to invest in the brand, the recruitment process, and his fresh-off-the-back two-week training experience. Lewis came to Access4Lofts looking to move from desk-based work into something physical and active. He had built skills across sales, electrical work, labouring and IT over the years, and wanted a franchise that put all of those to use. Lewis frames the move toward franchising rather than starting from scratch as a deliberate de-risking choice — "already established, support network, tried and tested model." He considered other active-work options like gardening before Access4Lofts came into view. Two threads connected him to the brand: a personal experience of having previously boarded out his own loft and installed a ladder in a previous house, and an hour-long initial call with the franchisor that, in his words, "just clicked." On the recruitment process, Lewis describes a relaxed, no-hard-sell exchange of information that progressed naturally from initial conversations through more formal meetings with founders Tim and Lindsay. He is explicit that he never felt pressured to make a decision before he was ready, even though the process was structured and information-dense. Lewis's experience with Access4Lofts training exceeded his expectations. Week one ran on systems — a number of platforms, all described as seamless and easy to use, with strong documentation and on-call support. Week two moved into technical and physical training, including the installation work itself, plus sales and customer-support modules. Lewis left training feeling fully equipped: "all the tools I need, all the knowledge I need, all the confidence I need just to get started on the Monday." Looking forward, Lewis is most excited about growing the territory — starting with following up early enquiries himself, then building confidence on installations over the first few months, and eventually scaling beyond solo operation by bringing on employees as the business establishes.
