About This Video

In this interview, First Class Learning centre manager Aynit Shah explains what drew him to the franchise. He wanted something more rewarding that kept him close to the classroom without being a teacher, and a business of his own where he saw the reward directly. After around six months researching opportunities in the education sector, he found First Class Learning's emphasis on treating every child as special and designing programmes around each child especially appealing. He describes a straightforward recruitment process: sending his CV, a phone call, then a conversation in Middlesbrough, followed by the moment he watched a class in action and could picture himself doing it. What stayed with him was seeing the children happy and engaged; he says it does not feel like a job, and that he is proud to help children succeed in maths and English.
