Who We Are

UK Business Mentoring Group (UKBM) is a nationwide business mentoring and coaching organisation supporting business owners across the UK. Established in 2009, UKBM helps owners improve across all areas of the business and create businesses that are less dependent on them and maximises the value for an eventual exit.

What We Do

Every relationship with a new owner begins with a review of the business covering all the key areas of the business, including financial performance, leadership, people, processes, sales and marketing. The findings are presented to the owner and used to agree priorities and create a strategic plan for improvement and growth based on the client’s goals and objectives.

Mentoring sessions with the client are normally monthly where performance against plan is evaluated and discussed. The role of a Mentor covers; guiding, encouraging, challenging, offering alternatives and providing honest advice, perspective and accountability, working alongside owners as long-term trusted advisers. Support is tailored to the individual business/owner rather than delivered through a one-size-fits-all programme. UKBM operates without any long-term contract commitment by the client or minimum periods and offers a money back pledge. In all the years of operation we have never had anyone call on that pledge and our client satisfaction rating is 96% Five Star and 4% Four Star, something we are both passionate and proud about.

Training & Support

• Five days training split three days before live date and then one day after month one and three
• Director coaching on a weekly basis for the first three months and then monthly for nine months
• Access to all UKBM intellectual property including our Business Review Process and Planning Sessions.
• Ten different seminar packages
• Eighteen training packages such as Leadership, Management, Time Management etc.
• Quarterly Team F2F Meeting which involve outside speakers, training and discussion
• Monthly ‘Teams’ meetings
• Your own experienced franchisee as a dedicated mentor
• Any additional training and coaching provided free

What do you look for in Franchisees?

We look for people who have either run their own business or worked at a senior level in business or the corporate world. Essentially applicants should have a broad knowledge of how a business operates, have led and managed a team and understand the financials of a how a business works.

Strong communication skills are important and we will be looking for individuals who can quickly build rapport with people and develop long lasting effective relationships.
