In 1961, Reuben Mattus created his dream of a high quality, gourmet ice-cream. In 1976 his daughter opened the first Haagen-Daz store, which proved popular and soon spread around America. Today, the Haagen-Daz brand is still recognized as a gourmet brand and is available in 54 countries through a network of franchises of 650 stores.
