Curves was founded by Gary and Diane Heavin in 1992 in Harlingen, Texas. In a short time they grew to one of the world’s largest fitness franchises. Curves are fitness and weight loss clubs for women, introducing the first 30 minute circuit workout. They attribute their success to a practical approach to women’s diet and fitness, and a supportive club environment.
When their second club location was successful, Gary and Diane began franchising the concept. The 1995 the first independently owned and operated Curves location opened in Paris, Texas. They are currently 4,500 clubs in 76 countries.

Ongoing support is also offered including a dedicated Business Development Manager, Club Camp training and certification programme, Curves Service Enhancement Training, regional meetings and online access to helpful training tools.
