Clarks has a rich heritage and strong brand reputation built over nearly 200 years, which franchisees can leverage to attract a broad customer base. The brand's commitment to innovation, reflected in their shoe designs and retail technology, enhances the customer experience and drives repeat business.

Becoming a Clarks franchisee requires the following:
  1. You'll need to have a minimum investment of £150,000. This includes the cost of the franchise fee, inventory, and working capital.
  2. You'll need to find a suitable location for your store. Clarks prefers to open franchises in high-traffic areas, such as shopping malls or high streets.
  3. You'll need to have experience in retail. Clarks is looking for franchisees who have a passion for shoes and who are familiar with the retail industry.

Clarks has put in place a tailor-made programme to answer their franchisee's every need – from store location, design and fitting to staff training and trading plans. An initial training period of 5 days in Clarks' head office followed by 10-20 days’ field-based training is provided to each franchisee.

Further specific additional training is provided in agreement with the franchisor. Ongoing support and marketing assistance are also provided.
