Cultural Dignity 'n' Care
Do You Care Enough to Grow a Care Business?
A Unique Opportunity to Build a Care Franchise That is Specific to the Needs and Culture of Your Clients.
Cultural Dignity 'n' Care – The Business
From its inception in 2010, it was always the intention of Claudette Anderson, Cultural Dignity ‘n’ Care’s founder, to distinguish the service that she offered from other care providers. In addition to providing a broad range of general care services to her local community, she recognised that there was a requirement to take into account not only the ‘care needs’ of her clients but also the ‘cultural background’ of those who need that care.
These cultural differences are taken into account when matching carers with clients. This could include matching individuals who speak the same language or dialect, placing carers with clients who have the same specific cultural or religious customs, or even in more specialist sectors, for example, when caring for individuals with HIV, Cultural Dignity ‘n’ Care will seek to provide staff that have experience of working within this sector, or may indeed be HIV Positive themselves.
By taking into account the diverse needs of the whole community, Cultural Dignity ‘n’ Care has grown. Now you have an opportunity to grow a sustainable business and provide a worthwhile service to your community.
Owning a Cultural Dignity ‘n’ Care Business
As the owner of the business your role is varied, challenging but always rewarding. The overall development of the business is your responsibility (with our help and support) and we would advise that you start with at least one other member of staff, possibly a care manager, if you do not come from a care background yourself. The responsibilities encompass:
- Business development
- Effective local marketing
- Forming long-term business relationships in your local community
- Recruiting suitable care staff
- Devising individual care plans for your clients
- Complying with all relevant legislation
- Above all, passionately caring about the service that you provide

We are more interested in you as a person, rather than what you have done in the past. ✔ A genuine desire to provide a worthwhile service within a diverse community
✔ Empathy with the differing ‘cultural needs’ of your clients
✔ The ability to relate to and communicate with others at all levels
✔ A ‘commercial aptitude’
✔ The ability to become part of the local community
✔ The drive and determination to grow a successful business
✔ The willingness to follow a system that works
