Snap Fitness Plans Huge UK Expansion

Snap Fitness recently opened six new sites in January, and now the 24-hour gym franchise has announced plans to open 34 clubs, totalling an astounding 44 new locations in 2018. There are no signs of the fitness franchise slowing down, and CEO Isaac Buchanan expects 2018 to be the brand’s best year to date. Snap Fitness has more than 2,000 clubs in 18 countries, and the franchise’s London headquarters has had to double in size to support the brand’s growth. Snap Fitness gyms can be found dotted all over the UK in locations such as St Austell and Aberdeen.

Shakeaway Opens in Poznań, Poland

Shakeaway celebrated the opening of its first store in Poznań, Poland this past week. The grand opening awarded the first 50 lucky customers with a free milkshake. Shakeaway Poland offers the brand’s famed milkshakes as well as real fruit smoothies, fit and healthy shakes, 100% fat-free frozen yoghurt desserts, lower fat fries and shaved ice – all handmade to order. Customers can revel in traditional Polish flavours such as prince polo, pawełek advocat, truffle and more. One popular shake is the michalina, a blend of ptasie mleczko and blueberries topped with whipped cream, which is exclusive to Poland.

Papa John’s Opens in Seaside Town of Weston-Super-Mare

Papa John’s has opened its latest store in Weston-Super-Mare run by franchisees John O’Brien and Clif Robertson. John and Clif are old school friends from Merthyr Tydfil who joined Papa John’s at the end of 2015. The pair now runs eight stores with plans to open a new Papa John’s in the West Country in the next few weeks. Their quick expansion has been thanks to Papa John’s incentives for franchisees providing support for new stores including deals on equipment, help with marketing and discounted royalty fees.

Tim Hortons Announces New Manchester Restaurant

The iconic Canadian coffee giant Tim Hortons is making even more of a mark in Great Britain this month with a new restaurant opening on Oxford Road, Manchester on Saturday 17 March. The new location is just one of many being revealed this year. To celebrate the new opening, the first 100 customers will be treated to a free lunch combo when the restaurant opens at 12 p.m., and the lucky first customer will receive a VIP coffee card for a year’s worth of free coffee.
