Hema is a retail chain that is different than other retailers as it sells its own brand. The first store opened in 1926, and sold everything from cakes and pastries to pots and pans. The first of the franchised stores opened in 1958 and the company has continued to grow ever since. Today, there are 660 stores in 7 European countries.
