John Grove joined The Wheel Specialist in April 2009 and hasn’t stopped since. Originally from a background of accounting, alloy wheel refurbishment was a huge jump into the unknown. The new venture was a radical change but his enthusiasm for cars, hard work and determination plus the ongoing support from The Wheel Specialist support team has made the business a great success.
Job Satisfaction
John said “I love to see the satisfied customers leave my premises. On a personal note it’s a great chance to see some wonderful vehicles. What a year
“Some people thought I was crazy opening a new business during a recession but I am proving them wrong, week on week the business keeps flooding in.” says John. John has already expanded his team to cope with the demand, “keeping up with all the enquiries is difficult at times, I have help on hand now so I can ensure that no one is ever missed”. Franchisor Neill Murphy added “starting a new business at any time is nerve wracking but during one of the worst recessions we have had could appear completely mad. But fortunately the recession didn’t affect The Wheel Specialist sales or enquiries, in fact with many people choosing to give their vehicles a revamp rather than buying new if anything we have gained a market.”
What’s in store for 2010
Expansion! John’s dedication, commitment and hard work is proving a great success, he is already considering the possibilities and expanding and opening a second branch in a neighbouring territory “The potential for this kind of business is huge, I would love to open another branch as I can see a real niche in the market for wheel refurbishment” says John.
