We caught up with Jennifer Thackray, who joined SmartPA earlier this year, to find out how her Partner training is going and what she's looking forward to...

How is your training going so far?
My training is going really well. I left my full-time employment at the end of May so since then I’ve committed my time to completing my training and researching in preparation for launch.
What is best thing about SmartPA Training?
I like the way the training is set out in a series of clearly defined modules, with assessments and feedback at the end of each stage. It’s very thorough and informative. Completing it remotely is ideal preparation for the nature of the business.
What is the most interesting thing you have learnt during your training?
There have been several parts of the training that I’ve found extremely interesting. The power and psychology of persuasion and influence was hugely interesting – in fact I’m now reading the book by Robert B Cialdini.
The work experience was also great – I really enjoyed that and it gave a real flavour of the work that clients provide.
What are you looking forward to most about launching your SmartPA business?
I’m looking forward to networking and speaking to potential clients. I’d really like to get involved with the local business community in Colchester which is very active.
I’m also looking forward to starting the work – it will certainly feel more real then!
What would you say to people considering the SmartPA Partnership?
