Former MD chooses Sandler to start his own business development consultancy
“It was while working as an interim director, I realised that I was really enjoying the autonomy that came with being self-employed. My main concern with going-it-alone was missing the camaraderie and team spirit you get with larger organisations. Ideally I wanted to combine the two, so I began searching for an established franchise network to provide me with the support and structure to start my own business.”
It was only after researching other franchises that Chris came across Sandler. Previously, he had thought that successful franchises were largely restricted to fast food businesses. After recognising the quality of the Sandler business model and the thousands of hours of materials that support it, he didn’t hesitate to pursue the opportunity further.
Chris recently completed his initial training in Baltimore and commenced building his business in his territory which centres around Milton Keynes. With ambitious growth plans in place, Chris looks set to be very busy in the coming months. But he suspects that this won’t stop him from indulging in his favourite pass time…
“I’m basically interested in anything with an engine – cars, motorbikes…you name it! It’s cost me a small fortune over the years, but the enjoyment I get from it has made it worth every penny. I’m approaching my Sandler business with the same kind of passion. I just want to see how far I can take it! ”
Chris understands the commercial world and strongly believes business leaders have done all their cost cutting and restructuring and are now looking to grow sales to get out of the recession. This is a message that is echoed by Peter Jones, who also invested in starting his new Sandler business earlier this year.
