News from Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks franchisee Tony
Having officially retired from Kent Police on the 2nd of January this year, I had hoped to start on Monday the 13th of January but unfortunately owing to the death of an old friend, I wasn't able to start until Wednesday the 15th, which was quite handy as my first stock delivery arrived that day.
I bought my franchise territory last May realising the Husse product is extremely good and it would be an ideal opportunity - just what I was looking for. I'm grateful that I was allowed to purchase my territory so long before I started. I have to say that I didn't realise just how good the product was until I did the training. All the feedback I have had back from my customers about the product has been good.
It had always been an aim of mine to concentrate on building a customer base initially from within the village where I live, as I have lived here several years and have a number of friends and other contacts. So here I am nearly six weeks later, gradually building my customer base within the village and now beyond.
During my first month I managed to make ten sales to nine customers, all of whom will hopefully be re-ordering soon. I have other new customers waiting to make their first orders once their usual food is nearly finished, at least two this week (four dogs) not to mention others I hope to recruit. Of those nine customers, the total number of animals is thirteen dogs and eight cats. That said, I have had some prospective customers who appear to have decided not to take advantage of my services despite having intimated otherwise.
Having spent the last thirty years working shifts, I'm really enjoying working predominantly during normal working hours but I'm quite happy to make evening and weekend appointments or deliveries when required. I'm looking forward to attending shows and have three booked so far and one more in the pipeline at present, Paws at the Castle, Hever Castle, a beautiful Kentish setting that I can't wait to attend.
I'm also enjoying and making the most of the support offered by Head Office, Dr Majid, Fahim & Sergey. I'm looking forward to receiving my new loyalty cards which I see as being a valuable incentive.
GREAT! WHAT'S MY NEXT STEP?
