The 101 Friends Franchise is designed to be run as a part-time business by a person who likes dogs and who wants to work from home. There is no reason why this business should not be run by a disabled person, a parent at home or alongside another occupation. You will need to commit about 15 hours per week to your business, though the more you work the faster your business will grow.

What Will I Be Doing?

You will be setting up and managing 101 Friends in your local area. You won’t need 101 dog carers – you can start trading as soon as you have just a couple of carers. The business is run as a club. There are likely to be between five and fifteen dogs with carers at any given time once you have built up your business.

You will be generating business through local advertising and marketing. You’ll also be recruiting carers locally. Much advertising can now we done free of charge on the internet. We will supply you with details of the best websites as well as scripted advertisements to place on them. Once you’re established, you’ll find that both carers and customers come to you through recommendation.

You’ll be interviewing your carers in their own homes so that you can inspect the gardens and make sure there aren’t any pristine white carpets or tribes or valuable ornaments at tail-wagging level. Once you have your carers, the bulk of the work can be done by computer, telephone and occasionally snail mail.
