Increasingly people look for a new house online: more than 40 per cent of searches are on mobile devices. We don’t think of ourselves as online agents though. More than 80 per cent of our business is from referrals. Buying or selling a house is the second most stressful process after bereavement so it is important that a HomeXperts agent not only sells a home, but helps people move and achieve their dreams.
- How HomeXperts select franchise owners
We have strict criteria. We are looking for self-motivated people who could work from home, who have a passion for property and who want to deliver amazing service.
- What has changed for HomeXperts over the past year
I am most proud of our HomeXperts Hub, an online franchising system which houses more than 800 training documents, 300 training webinars and videos and more than 100 marketing templates.
- What will happen in the housing market in 2016
In the short term I expect to see buy-to-let landlords scrambling to complete on properties to beat the stamp-duty rise in April, which could create a housing bubble.
